That Cloud Has Eyes!! Part I
~The cloud family~
The family of clouds breezed across the sky, enjoyong the summer sun.
The family of clouds licked cones of cloudfluff ice cream, happy to be with each other.
The parents tucked their child in to bed. They smiled contentedly at each other when he snuffled happily in his sleep.
~The Next Day~
~Opal and Topaz~
Opal tudged through the undergrowth in the woods. Her twin, Topaz, put his hand on her shoulder. "You'll catch one eventually, Opal!" he encouraged.
Opal sniffed. "No, I won't" And you know it, she added under her breath. A rustling in the bushes caught the twins' attention. It was a wild Eevee! "Sure you'll catch one! Let's go try that Eevee!" Topaz waved his sister over and she grudgingly followed. Opal sighed. "Topaz-"
"Come on, before it leaves!" he beckoned again.
As they peered at the Eevee over a frond of fern, it rustled. Topaz put a finger to his lips. Sh! They slowly crept closer. Throw it now! Topaz whispered urgently. Opal obligingly threw her last Pokeball. It landed squarely on the Eevee... and to Opal's surprise, caught it! The ball shivered, shook, and stopped. Opal started singing, "Oh! I caught a Pokemon! I-I caught a Pokemon!" and doing a victory dance. Then, when she was done, padded over to the ball and looked at it wonderingly, imagining what it contained inside.
"Tell me, Topaz- How do I let it out?" she asked her brother.
"It's simple, really- just throw it against the ground and your Pokemon'll come out!"
Opal threw the Pokeball as instructed, and the Eevee came out right where she threw it. "Perfect!" Topaz congradulated her. Opal ran to the Eevee. It murmured softly and leapt into her arms. "Oh my goodness it's adorable!" Opal gushed, burying her face in the Eevee's fluffy ruff.
"Topaz, thanks so much for helping me!" Opal cried.
Topaz looked embarrassed. "Aw, no problem. It's what brothers are for, after all!"
~Back to the Clouds~
The child slowly broke away from his parents' embrace, raindrops falling from all three of them at this melancholy departure. The child turned his back on his parents and whisked away.
