Sure! I wonder what it's about? :)

Sure, post it! What's it about?

I would like to see what your book is about (I like the title), but just be really careful! Someone might steal some of your ideas, or even the name of the book. If the story isn't copyrighted, someone could very quickly steal your idea. If you do post something, I wouldn't give out a whole chapter.:)

Kimberly is way right. My older cousin made a comercial with her friends for some school project. A few months later, they were watching TV and they saw it. She had no idea someone stole her idea. Another time, my cousin (same one) had this amazing idea for an electronic. She made it (she's pretty smart) and used it at her school's science fair. Apparently somebody there thought it was amazing, too. They stole the idea, and it is now available for sale in stores.

You cousin can sue both of those people. it's copyrighted the moment you make it.
(September 3, 2008 - 6:42 pm)
Not quite. She and her dad tried to pursue, but nothing happened.

Did you ever consider that maybe they didn't take her idea? You know, maybe they thought of it themselves.

Well, the commercial was exactly the same, just different actors. The invention, maybe, but it was invented in the same town, around the same time. She didn't get to take her invention home from the science thing, so someone could have stayed a longer time and somehow stolen the idea.

WHOA! It's horrible that someone stole her comercial and her electronic!!!:( She must have been really mad! And the electronic is sold in stores now?! What is it? It's too bad things like that happen.

You know how almost every modern electronic needs to be plugged in and charged, such as phones and mp3 players? She invented this little box that has a bunch of outlet hole things that you can plug the electronic into. It's almost like those expandable outlets, but not quite. It's shaped differently and is made to charge things faster. It's not just a box with outlets on it. You sort have to see it to understand what I'm talking about. She called it the all-in-one charger.

What was the product?
(September 3, 2008 - 8:09 pm)
It's copyrighted the moment you make.
Good old Paranoia in writers! ;)

copeland,
I'd LOVE to see what your story is about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(September 13, 2008 - 5:30 pm)
I'd like to see it, too, Copeland. Actually, all you have to do to officially copyright a piece of writing is type/write somewhere on the document, "Copyrighted by _____ (your name), _______ __, 2008. (the date - month, day, year). So, like, if someone named Sue was to copyright a book today, she would write, "Copyrighted by Sue Johnson, November 13, 2008." That's it, and then it's official! Please post a sample paragraph, Copeland!
