Chatterbox City RP!
Chatterbox: Inkwell
Chatterbox City RP!
Chatterbox City RP!
This rp was originaly created by Somebody. All CBers and AEs live in a city. In the center of the city is the Admin's building, where the Admins live. You don't have to live in a house- you could have a castle or cave or secret HQ, and all of us have to team up to save the city from evil forces, glitches, rainbow unicorns, or any other major threat. There is also a Starbucks, a Krispy Kream Donut Shop, and an HUGE library. You can add more buildings if you like.
I live in a giant mechanical castle, with a moat and everything. There are lots of secret passageways, which I can control with my computer room in the basement. The castle is part stone and part metal and glass.
P.S.-- In the first Chatterbox City, there was an orb in the Admin's building called The Cosmic Orb Of Creativity And Imagination that basicaly held the city together. Should we use that or not?
The Admins would very much like to have a castle. We're putting in a request for a castle! :D -Admins.

Jarvis-
This is getting way too weird.
I had been standing near the battlements of my mechanical castle when suddenly the ground started shaking. After very nearly toppling off the wall, I had looked up in time to see the bright red letters streaking across the sky like fourth-of-July fireworks.
Now, I am crouching under the awning of the Krispy Kreme donut shop, squinting across the street at the Inkwell. My robots MAZMA and SPAM are presently whizzing through the clouds, giving me information on what is happening below. I put on my special computerized goggles and zoom in on the library. It is completely deserted, not even a single Wi-Fly is buzzing around.
Suddenly, my googles pick up something. There is a strange static noise coming from the Inkwell, like a radio when there is no connection. At the same time, I see faint, greenish glyphs streaming from one corner of the building, where the static is strongest.
No, not steaming from the Inkwell. Going to it.
I place my hands on the black obsidian walls and suddenly the glyphs gather around it, as if scanning. Then I feel a shock and a buzz, and I am thrown five feet back from the building to land on a heap on the sidewalk. Dazed, I look up and spot Critic A chasing a hopping CAPCHA under the Caution tape.
Hesitating only a moment, I follow.

~Curio~
Something feels wrong.
I knew it as soon as I woke up today: there was some small idiosyncrasy in the air, a minute sound or smell or feeling that just wasn't quite right. I dare not say it was abnormal - nothing in CB City is ever normal - but it was wrong, or I'm a hairless Wookiee. I have been toying with my breakfast for the past half an hour, trying to work up an appetite, but I can't seem to actually want the food.
I sigh, push away the plate, and get up from the table, which today is fine Victorian teak; tomorrow it may be Minecraftian acacia, or rough-hewn stone, or a holodisplay. As I leave the dining cave and turn a corner, I nearly run smack dab into Di, who smells rather...awful. I wrinkle my nose instinctively, and she responds, "Oh, g'morning Curio. The weirdest thing happened when I went to take Koda out- she did her business all over me, then tore out of the room screeching 'GGBC!!!!' Do you have any idea what happened to her?"
"No. I haven't seen her at all." It's the truth.
"Strange. Today is just...strange." Di gives a little shiver, and I am sorely tempted to reply in kind.
"I'm on my way to the spaceport control center. Gonna hack into those Planetary Security cameras around the city again, see what's up. You coming?"
Di grimaces. "I would, but I've got an urgent appointment with the bathing pool. Does Captcha poodoo ever stink!"
I am quite inclined to agree.
~Di~
One long hot bath later, I deem myself free of Koda's excrement. Just as I'm drying off under the fire jets, my comlink buzzes. It's Curio, but the weird part is...my comlink was set to 'Do Not Disturb.' It wouldn't have rung unless...unless this is officially classified as an emergency call.
Curio is far too sane to make an emergency call without a very, very good reason. Bahamut help me. This is going to be bad.
"Uh...Di here?" I state with no small degree of trepidation.
"DIDIDIyouhavetocomequickthere'samajorsituationattheInkwellandIthinkKodareallygotherselflost, she'snotanywherehere,thelibraryisclosedandtherewasanearthquakeIdon'tkniwifyoufeltitbecauseyou wereinthebath!!!"
"Whoa Curio! Hold your unicorns! Can you say that a little eensy weensy bit slower please?"
"There's a major situation at the Inkwell, and I mean a huge one, and...oh, never mind, just GET OVER HERE NOW!!" She cuts the connection.
I did, as a matter of fact, feel the earthquake. It was my first tipoff that things might be a little more than just strange.
There is a catastrophe in the making here. I can feel it.

500 feet above Chatterbox City...
"Are you crazy?! Out of all the cities you could choose to attack, you pick this one?!"
"Schyll, it's perfect. They have... valuable resources, and they don't even know!"
Schyll sighed and wished for the hundredth time that he hadn't let Margot Monroy hire him."Look, Margot- the last time I tried to attack this place, my troops were found covered in pie, burnt to a crisp, and lying on the ground moaning. Do you even know what these alter egos are capable of?"
"First of all, I am giving the orders here. Second of all, you attacked with a terrible plan. No strategy or cunning at all. With my plan, those alter egos and every other possible defense will be powerless when I step in to take the stone. Look below us!" Margot pointed through the glass floor of the spacecraft. "The seismic pillar has the entire city in chaos. I shall soon start the abduction phase. In fact, it begins..." Margot snuck a glance at her magenta-colored wristwatch. "Right now."

St.Owl~
We never made it to Danie's.
I was flying, Abigail was walking, and the ground split apart.
Luckily, Abigail was next to the crack, and I was in the air. But slowly but surely, lava started pouring from its depths.
"Okay..... back to my house!" I said smoothly. "Emergency transport!"
"What?" Abigail said.
I flapped over to her side and pulled out my emergency container of sugar. Sprinkling a circle around us, the magic staircase appeared.
"After you," I said.
Abigail started climbing, and I started flying, calling Feather with the wristwatch I finally remembered to wear.
"St.Owl?! Good, I was just about to call you!"
"Feather, you've got to get back, now! The ground is splitting apart!"
"I know! I just missed the crater! I'm flying back now!"
"Okay, good!" I replied. "I think we're going to have to use E.C.M!"
"What?!" Feather exclaimed. "Emergency Contact Messaging?! But you know the risks, you know what might happen-"
"We need him," I said firmly, "And we need the Alter Egos. Their craziness with save us... and, you know, the sane counterparts might be able to help a bit too. Really. I'll be talking to Dev."
"If you say so," Feather sighed.
By this time, we had reached the Cottage on a Cloud.
"E.C.M, then?" Abigail said, as she had been listening to our conversation. "I'll wait upstairs."
"Cool," I replied.
Dev~
"DEV!" St.Owl shouts. "E.C.M!!!"
I jump to her side instantly. "DELIVERY TO ALL AES AND SANE COUNTERPARTS IF THEY HAPPEN TO BE ON HAND BY YOURS TRULY! WHAT MESSAGE MUST I SEND?"
She looks unnerved by my enthusiatsicy. Good!
"The world is splitting apart," she said carefully, "And we need everyone's help to destroy the cause."
"OK!" I reply. "I WILL SEND THE WORD TO AE, CBER, MAN, BEAST, AND CAPTCHA!"

Critc A
I run through the library after Ookz, who is merrily squealing "Aric! Mofn!"
"Get back here!" I wind through the bookshelves, following the sound of his hops. "Cfka!" Ookz squeaks as I pounce on him and scoop him up in my arms.
"Don't you ever do that again," I mutter, starting to make my way back to the entrance. I reach for the doors, but they're locked. Huh, I think, jiggling the lock. Nothing happens. Am I seriously stuck inside a closed library?
There is a noise behind me and I whirl around. Nothing's there. Suddenly everything gets dark and the walls begin glowing. Not the walls, the runes on the walls.
"Ahhf!" Ookz whimpers.
A strange sensation floods through me as if I am being emptied of blood and bones an flesh then being pumped up with helium. "What-What-" I squeak. I reach for my pen dagger, tucked behind my ear, but I can't control my arms. The light grows brighter and brighter. I feel Ookz slip out of my arms.
I feel lightheaded, and my vision turns fuzzy. I have the vauge sensation of floating up and then mumbling voices I don't have the will to comprehend. Then I get stuffed into someplace small and everything goes black...

~TARDISrider~
Well, I slept in today.
I awoke to the ground shaking. Jumping so high that I hit my head in the bunker celing, I dash downstairs to where Ditty and Taxicab are typing furiously at the computers. I hurry behind Taxi's chair.
"How is everything?" Taxi gives me one of those annoyed looks that says "Do you really think I could tell you through CAPTCHAS?" Luckily, Ditty takes over for me.
"Middle class earthquake, communications with the Justice League were down for thirty-eight seconds, the GoG communications are up, but fuzzy, and Larryboy is calling demanding to know what's going on. There's a situation down at the Inkwell, and there have been repeated reports of sightings of a mysterious figure, possible a male, unknown man."
"Have you contacted A Palace yet?" I demand, referring to the Admin's castle.
"Onit," calls Taxi. I change quickly and snatch up my jacket.
"I'm out to Inkwell," I call. "Contact Batman, Larryboy, Captain America, Peter Quill, and..." I trail off. "I don't know, Jason Grace, and let them know they need to be ready if anything comes up."
I dash aboveground and stuff my arms into the sleeves of my jacket. I dash across Keyboard 23, dodging honking threads to reach the Inkwell. that's when things get even worse.
Sorry if I got anything wrong! I haven't been on in a while, and I was just sorta trying to sum things up.
(October 18, 2015 - 8:58 pm)
Air--
I dash across my roof and grab the zipline on the other side. I have no idea what's going on, but... whoa! Dark shape! I duck as one of the boxes I have under my tent-roof slides across the roof and a rope whips out of its clamp. An earthquake?!
I grip the harness and slide down. The Inkwell library should be safe... but what? The Inkwell is weirdly dark and glowy. Just then, my communicator beeps.

Please Don't Let this Die!!!
(October 21, 2015 - 6:07 am)
(Jarvis, hope you don't mind I'm using these characters.)
"That went well." Margot nodded, satisfied.
"It won't next time. We caught her unaware. I won't be surprised if she escapes." Schyll snapped. "This city... The people there are more powerful than you realize! The creativity that they have they can do ANYTHING with, you don't understand."
"I understand perfectly well." Margot hissed. "Better than you do. Because I know where all this stems from: Where all this imagination is allowed to flow. If we elimitate the outlet then the power is nothing!"
"So what is this mysterious thing that rules all Chatterbox City?"
"The Admins."
PEOPLE! PLEASE! DON'T LET THIS DIE! TOPTOPTOP POST PEOPLE!

Jarvis-
Suddenly, the lights snap out, and I feel a horrible sucking sensation. I grab a wall to steady myself from being pulled into who-knows-where. After a moment, it passes, and the Inkwell is once again illuminated by a dim glow.
Rushing ahead into the main foyer, I see a terrified Ookz bouncing around on the floor. Critic is nowhere to be seen. "Ookz, where is Critic?" I ask, and immediately regret it. I have never been able to understand CAPCHA talk.
"Abdk!!!" Ookz squeaks. "Abdk!"
"Huh?" I say.
"ABDK!!!!!"
"I don't understand." I sigh. Deciding to keep searching, I begin to walk around the foyer. Ookz hops after me.
There is a sudden creeeaaak behind me. I whirl around. It was coming from beyond the wall with the comment slots in it. Abruptly the obsidian blocks begin to shift, and glowing runes flash.
"What in the world?!" I yell.
All the bricks finally shift into place, and I am staring at an opening, about three feet wide. A passageway continues on behind it, with golden torches in brackets lining the walls. What could I do but enter?
Roughly an hour later...
The tunnel ends in a creepy room lit with purple light. Ookz is whimpering. When I step into the room, a bright light flashes on, clearly lighting up the thing before me. It was a pillar, covered in cobwebs and blanketed with dust and cracks. And on that platform sat an orange ball, glowing in the midst of hundreds of wires. Mesmerized, I touch it.
Bang!!! I smash against the wall and am covered with an opaque cloud of smoke. But when the smoke, clears, I see my strangest sight yet. Standing there is a girl who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. She wears a mud-spotted dress and carries a leather bound book and pen. She opens her mouth and says:
"My name is Fable Thatcher."
