Chatterbox City RP!
Chatterbox: Inkwell
Chatterbox City RP!
Chatterbox City RP!
This rp was originaly created by Somebody. All CBers and AEs live in a city. In the center of the city is the Admin's building, where the Admins live. You don't have to live in a house- you could have a castle or cave or secret HQ, and all of us have to team up to save the city from evil forces, glitches, rainbow unicorns, or any other major threat. There is also a Starbucks, a Krispy Kream Donut Shop, and an HUGE library. You can add more buildings if you like.
I live in a giant mechanical castle, with a moat and everything. There are lots of secret passageways, which I can control with my computer room in the basement. The castle is part stone and part metal and glass.
P.S.-- In the first Chatterbox City, there was an orb in the Admin's building called The Cosmic Orb Of Creativity And Imagination that basicaly held the city together. Should we use that or not?
The Admins would very much like to have a castle. We're putting in a request for a castle! :D -Admins.

Oh, there's a tunnel that is connected to my game room (aka, the basement) that allows you to get to CB city in twenty minutes walking distance. Takes you straight there!

One more person!
(October 10, 2015 - 9:40 am)
(October 11, 2015 - 3:49 pm)
I'll join!
I live in a treehouse that basically looks like this, except in a tree:
With two pet chickens who free-range around and a rope ladder to get up, plus rainbow-colored paper lanterns hanging from the edge of the tent-like roof. There's also usually a bike on the front porch and a very tiny kitten who usually sleeps next to the big window where it's sunny.

When shall we start?
(October 11, 2015 - 8:24 pm)
Whenever you want, l guess.
(October 12, 2015 - 8:37 pm)
@Air- After seeing your house, I really want to add onto mine! I hope it doesn't seem like I'm trying to copy you. I'm going to have a treehouse next to my house to use for fun and to look at the stars.
The tree it's on spirals up like a spiral staircase and has little steps all the way up it (it grew that way) to a wooden tree house that is pretty much a mini version of a real house. It has one room inside and a little porch nestled between branches. Half of the roof slides, so you can let sunlight in or look at the stars. If you want, you can climb a rope into it. (I love climbing ropes, and I'm actually very good at it.
(October 12, 2015 - 8:56 pm)
Start!
I can start after school today, unless someone else has time right now.

Jarvis-
I stroll down Inkwell street eating a glazed donut and heading for the Inkwell building. It is one of the biggest structures in Chatterbox City, an enormous building made of black obsidian blocks with strange golden symbols on them. Walking through its intricately carved gate, I reach the main lobby. I scan the walls until I find the slot I want, then slide a piece of paper through.
"One moment, please," says a voice behind me. I look around and see a Wi-Fly fluttering in mid-air. "I need your fingerprint."
"But I already submitted my CAPCHA!" I argue.
"There is extra security at the moment."
"Why?" I ask. "Did someone break into the Inkwell or something?"
"Gaaaaah!! How did you know?!?
"Someone did?!" I exclaim.
"Shhhh, keep your voice down. No one must know of this." The Wi- Fly flaps away and calls after me "And no donuts in the library!".
I was so busy with my thoughts on this alarming news that I didn't even notice something unusual as I left the Inkwell.
One of the runes on the wall was glowing.

A ha-ha! Wi-Fly! I love it!
St.Owl~
I wake up to racket, as usual.
Below me, threads whirl along the commentary highways as I stretch and pull on a white dress from my closet. I can't hear them, though; as much noise as the Chatterboxers may be making, my cottage is soundproof, so whatever explosions I'm hearing must be coming from... inside... the... house.
"DEVIL OWL!" I scream, thundering down the stairs. "You mangy little brat, what are you doing this time-"
"I'm just cooking breakfast," Dev shouts, too loudly.
"Breakfast?! More like you're making a World War III! Just let Feather do the cooking!"
"I agreed to let Dev do it today," says a soft voice from the corner. I turn to see my sandy-haired sidekick curled up in a chair, reading her large and heavy encyclopedia- how she carries that around I will never know. "He was going to feed me some of those explosive brussels sprouts if I didn't. He was just demonstrating."
Dev holds up about twenty sticks of disinigrating bacon. "Want some?"
"Oh, um, no thanks...," I said, wracking my brains, "I forgot I was going to, um, see Somebody today for breakfast."
"Oh. Okay," says Dev, consuming the sticks quickly. That's strange. Dev isn't usually this agreeable.
No time to dwell on it, though. I think he's going to make scrambled eggs next.
"I have a meeting with The Critic," says Feather quickly, getting up. "Enjoy your breakfast, Dev."
I take the golden staircase- only accessable if you put a circle of sugar around yourself- to the Inkwell, where it's as busy as ever. I can hear the RP posts being made. But today I'm not going to the Typewriter's Building; I need a cup of tea. So I go to Cayke's Coffee Shop and Diner.
"Hi, St.!" says Cayke as I push open the door. "What can I get you today?"
"A decaf chai and a pumpernickle bagel, please, Cayke," I say, smiling at my friend. "Dev's making breakfast today."
She laughs and goes to grab my meal.
I pull out my Harry Potter book and read it as I eat. After I'm done with breakfast and payed the bill, I go over to the library. Maybe today they'll have Septimus Heap: Flyte in stock.
I push open the large double doors silently, my boots softly clicking against the tile floor. The library is a very popular and large place; I'm pretty sure there's not a CBer anywhere who hasn't gone here at least once. I wander over to where the Heaps are usually found and jump with delight when I see the second book in the series lying on the shelf. Walking over to the librarian- Sir Turntheboataround II today- I glance around. It seems some of the runes have gotten some nice new golden paint.
Is that golden paint? I take back my library card and reciept and walk over, squinting at the wall. No... I think it's glowing. I press one finger on the symbol and-
"Hey!"
I turn around. Great. A Wi-Fly.
"You're not supposed to be doing that!" it scolds.
"Sorry," I say, holding my hands up, "just looking. Did you repaint these?"
"No, they're just the same as- good golly!" If the Wi-Fly wasn't already in the air, it would have jumped. "I must report this to my manager! Stay there..."
Stay there? Ha! That Wi-Fly isn't going to be back for hours. Instead, I push the doors open and walk into the morning sunshine.

Top!
(October 14, 2015 - 7:42 pm)
Abigail-
I press myself against the cave wall and silently begin to slip out. I can hear Critic A chasing after Ookz, yelling. He's been getting harder and harder to keep track of recently, and has taken to hopping out of the cave and into the streets.
I need a break from that crazy Captcha, not to mention Critic A, who has recently made a platform to end typos, that, and I quote, "Are evil beings dedicated on destroying all spelling, grammar, and everything else nice in the Chatterbox."
"Where do you think you're going?" A voice behind me says. I freeze.
"For a walk." I turn around to see Critic A holding a struggling Ookz in her arms.
"Wzhf." Ookz squeaks happily.
"And make me play Captcha babysitter again? Yesterday you were strolling around Chirp at Cricket commenting all over the place while I was making sure Ookz here didn't dive into the cookie batter again!"
"You made cookies? Never mind. Come on, A, Feather's coming over in a second to help you with your Typos mission."
"I could go over to her house!"
I snort. "With Devil Owl there? I thought you didn't like him! You said he uses to much bold, and spells "grammar" with an 'e'..."
"Fine." Critic A sighs, and I walk out of the cave happily. Down the streets of the Inkwell I go. At this time of day it's bustling with CBers, but it seems oddly deserted. I decide to stop by the Inkwell library, and stop in surprise when I see it's closed.
Caution tape is wound around the entrance and Wi-Flys buzz about frantically. I wade through the crowd and scoot nearer.
"Away, away." An Admin shoos me. "Sorry, but there has been... unexplained...problems at the library."
"But—" I protest to no avail. I hurry away, puzzled. The Inkwell is closed? For how long? Why? Questions flap about in my mind like a swarm of Wi-Flys.
Someone taps me on my shoulder. "Excuse me..."
A CBer I've never seen before is standing there. He wears a hoodie that covers his eyes and baggy jeans. "Er, hello." I say. "How can I help you? Are you new to CB?"
"I want to know the way to the Inkwell library, and I'm just passing through." His voice is gruff and sharp but sounds forced, as if he's hiding behind his seeming sound.
"It's closed." I inform him, and walk away. There's something about that guy that makes me feel nervous. I glance behind me, but he has disappeared.
I wonder if my friends know the Inkwell has closed? I have to tell them. I hurry of in the direction of St. Owl's house. She's usually around the Inkwell a lot. Maybe she has some information.
(October 14, 2015 - 11:21 pm)
St.Owl~
I hear a soft tinkle of a bell and stand up instantly, rushing down a flight of stairs to the entrance of the cottage, slamming Dev's door shut in her face. I open the door and grin at Abigail. "Heya. What's up?"
"Well... something weird happened at the Inkwell," Abigail explains. "There's no one there, and the library is closed."
"Really?" I ask, glancing down at the streets. My stomach lurches. She's right. The threads are perfectly still. No click- clack of keys comes from new comments being made. It's silent and empty.
"See?" Abigail asks, but not in a snotty way.
I nod. "We have to do something about this. Does anyone else know?"
"I'm on my way to tell them," Abigail replies.
"I'll go with you," I say. "FEATHER! DEV! I'M GOING OUT!"
"Wait for me!" Feather pushes open the door to her floor, lugging a bag wich must be filled with every Webster's book ever published. "I'm going to see the Critic!"
"Good luck with that," says Abigail, rolling her eyes. "And watch out for Ookz. Apparentelly he's been rolling in cookie batter."
"Okay," says Feather with the air of someone who wasn't listening at all.
"Anyway," I say, as Abigail decends the ladder and I fly, "Is there really no one else there?"
"Well, the Admins and the Wi-Flies are around," Abigail says, "And... well, there was a very strange person that I ran into on the street. He was looking for the library."
"But the library is closed."
"That's what I told him. And... he kind of rubbed me the wrong way," Abigail continues, shivering slightly, "I got this feeling... I wish I knew what it was... So, anyway... who should we go and see?"
"How about Danie and Squeak?" I suggest. "Their Gamestop isn't too far from here. Then we can go to Air's."
"Okay," she agrees.

If it's not too late to join, here's my house but if it is, please tell me. I'm fine either way. <!--break-->
Ok, my house is basically a tree house that looks small from the outside but huge on the inside. The tree grows inside the middle of the house, and it's branches stretch out. (Me and my AE, Puck, sleep on the branches of the tree, they're actually quite comfortable.) I can open up the roof to see the night, with a crank. I have a room filled with books, and a writing desk, and I have another room where I play my instruments. I also have a garden on the roof, and a turret on the very top of my house with a spiral staircase leading down. I have a couple other rooms, but my personal favorite is the one that always changes every day. Sometimes it's a dining room, other times it's a room that's very new to me. I live between the Inkwell and Pudding's place and work as an assistant librarian at the Inkwell's library. Puck my AE follows me everywhere, where she loves to play tricks. When she's a crow, everyone can see her, but when she's human, I and maybe a couple others can see her. I'm also adopting a captcha named Sir Galahad.
So yeah, that's my house! If I can join let me know, but if not, let me know as well. Thanks!
