WISH RP

WISH RP

A new RP! I know, I know, there are soooooo many right now. But this is a great idea! And I'm sure it will last to the end. Right, guys? **Deliberatly raises eyebrows**

The plot: There are a group of people who can grant wishes. All wishes, as long as they are cosmically possible. Of course, they don't have to grant wishes. But they have the power to grant any wish of any living being.

Except...their own.

The WishMakers, as we'll call them from now on, are somewhat of a sacred people within soceity, ar at least a higher class. People go to them for wishes, and in payment give them huge sums of money, large jewels,  and granduer beyond imagination. Some go so far as to pay their family fortune.

It is your choice as to how your charrie interperets these gifts, whether they grant wishes willingly, or whether they aren't WishMakers and are just pertending.

Maximum 6 people. Let's keep it small and simple.

And also, let's have it live to the end!

Charrie sheet:

Name:

Personality:

Age:

Appearance:

Other:

If you like, you can be someone who isn't a WishMaker, but please, I'd like the majority to be WishMakers. Let's call them WMs in shorthand.

I'll make my charrie later.

Have fun!

~~Loraia~~

I whip around as I hear the door open.

Oh, it's only Amelie Ronald. A little girl who claims she is an apprentice but wont grant a single petty wish. Her eys open wide with astonishment and fear at the sight of my cold smile.

"Well, what is it?" I ask her. She doesn't reply, and doesn't budge. It seems she is parylized with fear.

"Dear, dear. It seems the cat has got your tongue."

I hear a faint whisper of a wish in my mind. I wish I was away from here...I'm scared...I wish I wasn't here.

My smile widens. "Good girl. You should wish you were out of here. No one, and especially not scrawny, so-called apprentices!" I catch hold of the wish in my mind and let it expand and fill with possibility. Suddenly, Amelie vanishes, and through the open door I can see her appearnext to the tree in my front garden.

I roll my eyes at Johnathan and Christoff's backs. Boys.

I start down the road as they go their separate ways, trying to push the ache I feel in my head to the back of my mind as panic subconsciously builds.

I turn back to see Chris sitting next to a sad little girl and John still continuing. Chris. He may be a troublemaker, but he's a good boy at heart. He's actually only a year older than I, though we're around the same height.

Flames lick at the edge of my vision and I whirl to their source. Nothing.

"Riala?" Chris sounds distant, separated by walls.

"Ri, are you all right?"

Again, fire behind me, burning my neck. I whirl. Nothing.

I can feel burning now, in my bones, on my flesh. I don't realize I'm screaming till I'm on the ground and Chris is shaking me.

"Riala! Riala! It's fine! It's not hot! Oh, stars, is this a vision? You're okay, Riala! You're OKAY!"

The vision stops abruptly. Chris is covered in bruises, and with a sick feeling I realize I've hurt him.

"Chris! Y-you-I-I hurt you!"

"Ri, it's okay!" he groans in relief, "You didn't mean it. What was going on in that dream?"

The edge of my vision becomes full, this time with black. "Flames," I mutter, "I saw flames..."

The last thing I hear before falling unconscious is "Fire!"

Jonathan~

I whirl around at the sound of "Fire!"

Next thing I'm on the ground scorched, with flames bursting around me. Coughing, I limp out of the way, but the flames seem to be everywhere.

Screams. So many screams. Wishes are over-loading my mind, wishes wishing to be somewhere else. I shake my head, trying to take them all away.

It's Chris and Riala over to my right. I limp over to them.

"Jonathan- what happened to your leg?" Riala is worried about me. How strange. We both know that she hates me.

"I can take care of my own problems," I glance over to the fire. "...So many wishes."

"W-we need to grant them!" Riala's eyes show frustrated fear. I blink.

"You can. I don't own anything to those peasants."

"Jonatha-"

"Alright, Ri."

"Don't call me that." She glares at me and concentrates. I do the same.

I want to escape--Wish granted.

I hope my family was safe-- They are now.

I wis-Granted.

Ple-Granted.

I lose count after that.

~~Loraia~~

I sniff out of pride, from what I can do to little wimpy aprentices. And I inhale smoke. Smoke! Fire! There is fire! I run to look outside. There arfe flames everywhere, creeping slowly to the edges of town. Slowly, they reach the edge of my house!

I can do nothing now but wish as my house catches on fire. I wish I was safe...I wish I was safe...I wish I was safe...I wish--

And nsuddenly, I am safe. I am standing next to Riala and Jonathan, who have their eyes closed in concentration. I can feel wishes bubble and pop in the air as a fire rages before us.

"Jonathan! Riala! Did you grant me to safety?"

Jonathan nods, but keeps his eyes shut.

A wish floats through the air. I want to be safe! I need to be safe! My family needs to be safe!

I can feel the urgency of the plea. I can practically feel the heat of creeping flames, see a fire orange slowly attack me. SO this is why Riala and Jonathan are granting without even pausing to consider. They know that the wishes are more imprtant than any others, not even those paid by mountains of jewels. I don't share their sentiment completely, but I close my eyes and start granting alongside them.

Christoff~

The wishes run through my mind quick as a wildfire (Pun intended) in a field of dry grass. I grant them as quick as humanly possible, stooping down and picking up Riala's unconscious body with my remaining strength, granting wishes. No deals this time. "I'm getting her to saftey! You guys continue granting, I can't concentrate with all these wishes running through my head!" I shout, dashing away from the fire. I shut out the wishes and focus on my path.

I finally set Riala down gently by a pool of water. If the fire came nearby she could always last a little longer in the water. Before being boiled alive. I drink some of the water before sprinting back to the others and turning back on my wishes, a grin instantly spreading across my face.

I wish there wasn't a fire. Granted.

What a smart person. The fire vanishes, leaving behind half-burnt trees and houses along with lots of ash. "That was a close one. Lucky for us someone wished the fire away. " Loria nods, slowly sitting down on the ground, obviously exhausted.

I join her, followed by Jonathan. "What happened to you?" she asks, looking over my bruised and aching body.

"Riala had a vision or something..." I say with a sigh, rubbing my calf and trying to ease the pain. "About fire. She was lying on the ground thrashing about and I tried to stop her. She actually passed out so I ran her to a small pond over yonder," I turn and point to the pond, only to drop my finger in suprise.

"Where is she?" John asks.

I turn to him, "I don't know."

~Sonata~

The fire is out, thank goodness. I'm wondering, though, how it got started. The person who started it might still be nearby. They might have been wishing for success during the fire. They might still be wishing. I pull to the side of the path, lean against a building, and close my eyes.
I wish the fire had worked. I'm startled. I didn't actually think he'd be wishing. I drop down from the tree branch I had been perching on. I've never been able to follow a wish before. As I've said, they're not like normal sounds. But this wish is different. It sounds odd. Maybe because the wish isn't a good one, I'm not sure. But if I can somehow find the trace of this wish...
I walk past a small girl with short black hair. In a moment I recognize Amelie, the unwilling WishMaker apprentice. She'll be able to confirm. I rush over.
"Amelie, could you do me a favor? Please?"
"Why..."
"Just, could you listen for a second? For wishes?"
"I'm not granting-"
"I know, you don't have to. Just listen for a second."
"Okay, fine." She closes her eyes. For a moment she's expressionless. Then she looks confused. Her eyes open. "Was that..."
"I think it was the person who started the fire, or at least someone who is in his side."
"Well, what do we do?"
"I'm not sure, but if we can hear the wish from here, he must be nearby. We ought to tell someone."
"But who would believe us? My master wouldn't believe me. I don't know about you."
"I'm not sure. Maybe the other WishMakers could help."
"I don't think Loraia would help me."
"Then maybe the others will. Would you be able to come find them with me?"
"My master would want me back..."
"That's alright-"
"All the more reason to come with you, if you'd like."
"Sure, definitely. Let's go...Where are they?"
"I think I saw them by the pond, around the corner."
I smile awkwardly. "All right, now let's go."

Riala-

I wake up cold, and refuse to open my eyes. I know where I am.

The sky is white, whiter than the wings ofa dove struck by sunlight. The ground is about the same color. I can sense Christoff, John, Sonata, Loraia, and that apprentice girl to my right: a dim burst of  color, a soft whisper to my left.

I'm in the Darkvas, the place I sometimes go to heal after my visions. They can't see me, but if I concentrate, I can see them.

They are standing clumped in a circle. Christoff is looking where I just was on the ground, and Johnathan follows with his eyes.

"Christoff!" I call, my voice spiraling and fractaling in the air. He starts. I furrow my brow. Did he hear me? That's supposedly immpossible, unless...

No, it can't be. I must be getting better at controlling the Darkvas.

"Ri?" calls Christoff, "Was that you?"

"Yes," I say, my voice puffing out of my mouth (though the Darkvas is not cold)

He fades in front of me, and a new opening appears.

A man is sitting on a rock calmly. He wears an eyepatch with a silver cat on it.

"Blasted WishMakers," he huffs, "idiot MindGift girl trying to affect me."

He turns to face me directly- that's impossible, he shouldn't be able to see me. But he can. His eyes are black as ebony.

"I can see you, Walker of the Darkvas," he says calmly, "Beware the One who Hears your Voice. Your affection for him will hold you back. Find me in the forest when you're out of the Darkvas."

He is gone, replaced by a silver cat. I blink and the vision fades.

There is a rush of wind, and I'm pulled out of the Darkvas. The sky is dimmer now, and Chris and John are walking away. I cough.

Chris whirls. "Ria!" he runs and hugs me, "blast it, Ria, I thought you were dead!"

I laugh and feel my cheeks warm. "I'm fine, Chris! I'm fine!"
I remember the cat man.

"I have to go," I say, suddenly somber, "you can't come."

"What is it?" he asks.

I look towards the forest.

"Stay safe," I say.

I can feel his eyes trained on me as I run to the woods.
