Words we love
Okay, what are some words you just love? You don't have to love their meanings, just the sounds of them. Even though I don't eat it, I for some odd reason LOVE the word pork. I don't really want to eat it, but it just sounds so, I don't know! What are some words you love?

I love a lot of French words, like coccinelle (did I spell that right?); ladybug. And, umm, illuminate, gushing, bursting, laughter . . . :)

I dunno, for some reason I love the word exacerbate.
Kaleidoscope, minion, doom (lol Invader Zim!), graphite, quartz, mausoleum, vibrato, libretto, candor, plunk, implacable, vortex, pretentious, Egypt, confounded, blast...

Oooooh... vibrato. Vibrato is kinda hard. I was doing it wrong for a looooong time and then I figured out how to do it right and now it's easier. ;)

Gah! yes.
I hate it when you're listening to/watching a filmed musical and you can TELL that the vibrato was added in with a computer. It's shoddy work, that's what it is! Like pictures where you can see the digital brushstrokes.

Being a meticulous--one of my favorite words, meaning exact and being a perfectionist--person, I have to say this: the correct spelling is hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia. BTW, I had to look that up, so don't worry--I probably would have made the same mistake. Another favorite word of mine is anespthphobia (not positive that that is the spelling), which my cousin told me means the fear that a large gray duck is always watching over you. She drew a picture of it, too, but I don't know if it would show up or how to digitalize it. (I'm not very computer-savvy.) Hmm, let's see...
Conundrum, aria, hippocampus (part of the brain), genii (plural of genius), and octopi (plural of octopus).

Some others are turkey, venison, duck. I don't want to hurt all you vegetarians out there, but I just LOVE the sounds of meat - not necessarily the taste, but definitely the sounds!!!

My absolue favorite word is Gossamer. Has anyone read that book? Anyway, that's what made me fall in love with it, and I have a bad habit of including it in everything I write.
(March 15, 2009 - 9:30 pm)
Oh yeah, I've read that!

Pest, Impediment, Thunderous, and all of the words Hanna said!

Let's see... xanthocroid, superfluous, Catholicism, Episcipalion (I know I completely messed up the spelling there), supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, independence, aviation, innumerable, irrational, incomprehensive, impertinent, disagree... the list goes on and on.
