It's Thursday! I'm starting!

Ellenia~

The message traveled swiftly.

The streams burbled it out.

The trees rustled their leaves to spread it.

The talking beasts, messengers to all, talked and talked about it.

Aslan is coming. That was the message.

Aslan is coming.

I only heard after hearing my tree rustle and understanding what it meant. Aslan. The lengendary Aslan is coming back! I could not contain my joy! I danced and danced and danced, swaying and twirling with other tree nymphs. Oh, we were all so happy! And then one night, we heard it. A note so pure and beautiful, so deep and gentle, so moving, so freeing, so grounding. It struck out into the night.

And we knew it. Aslan is here.

We here the beautiful note, and we hear a mighty roar. How beautiful is that roar, the majestic roar of Aslan the king! Some quaver at it's sound, some feel it seep into their bones and make them grow stronger. That is what it does for me. We hear more growls, more roars.

And then we see a mighty figure, golden and kingly and beautiful, bounding over the Narnian feilds, toward my forest. My forest! Wow!

Aslan draws nearer, and we all draw in breath. By all, I mean the creatures of my forest. It feels very strange, but also quite special for Aslan to be heading toward us with such assuredness.

Now he enters our forest. We all stare in wonder. He walks gracefully around, and then stops. He puts a paw on my tree.

~Vicki~

I grabbed my bags and slung them over my shoulders as me and my friends got down from the train. We passed through the nine and three fourths station. I hugged Ellie, D.K. and Emilia goodbye. My crush, James, gave me a goodbye present blushingly and rushed off. "See you next year!" I called, and went to join my dad in his car. I lived in California, so we had to drive all the way to the airport. As we drove along, I chattered with my dad.

"But Dad, WHY can't I have a dog? I can be responsible, I get good grades, and-"

He shook his head. "Vicki, darling, it's just that there's no room in our apartment for a dog, it's already cramped with you and your mom and Jeffery." He stopped abruptly in front of a red light. As he waited for it to turn green, he added, "Besides, you wouldn't be able to take a dog to Hogwarts, they aren't wizarding animals, and then WE would have to take care of it when you were away."

"What if- Could I get a dog later, after I graduate Hogwarts?"

We continued arguing all the way to the airport.

Sitting waiting for the plane, I decided it was safe to open my present from James. My dad slumbered as I carefully peeled away the wrappings. I discovered that hidden under the lime-green, ruffled Muggle wrapping paper was a pretty circular metal pin with a raven against a blue sky; I soon discovered it was enchanted so the sky would change colors as the day passed, so that stars and a moon would appear at night, and there would be dawn and dusk. I put the pin on, smiling.

Winged Wolf~

The forest viberates with the sound of a lion's roar. l cock my ears nervously and listen. A large lion, far bigger than l am is just a few yards away.

l don't want to meet this lion. Who knows what he will do to me if he finds me. l trot to the edge of the forest,  anxious, but the lion doesn't see me.

Free of the forest, l spead my wings and take off at a gallop. l try to keep away from humans, but it isn't working well.

l fly  by a huge expanse  of flat black rock, where many shining things are. One suddenly starts moving, and takes off, flying.

It flys. l am so astounded that l forget to flap my wings. Regaining control  of them, l land behind a small building,

More of those things are flying. Are they looking for me?  l wonder. It doesn't seems so, but it never hurts to be safe.

The black rock pains my feet, as l impatiently peer at the shining things from around the corner of the building.  Move! Move away from here! l plead silently to them.  They don't, of course, and l am stuck here for now.

Curious, and now borad, l look into the window. In the room, there is a girl and a man, sitting in chairs.

The girl looks up, and points at me.  The man looks up too, and l quickly drop below the window.

l am too late. They have already saw me.

~Vicki~

Suddenly I spot something outside. It's a huge silvery-black smudge, then as it comes closer I see enormous wings with silver black feathers, a wolf body, long white fangs. . . terrified and awed, I shake my dad awake.

~Dru~

I've been walking for days, running away from the last lover and their dead body, from Phantom and his tea and his long coat, from the city. I just want somewhere quiet. I don't mind some wet, and dark is always a pro. But right now I'm so tired from walking a week on end, I drop to the ground in a gutter near what appears to be an airport.

Ellenia~

I snap out of the dream. That was strange. A very strange dream. Whatever. I wake up and chat with a few birds. I eat a snack of apples. And then a hear a voice.

"Help!"

What was that?

"You must come!"

Another one?

I look around. Nobody is speaking.

"Who's there?"

Nothing.

All of a sudden, I see a huge pulsing light, and a bright purple portal slashes through the air. I gasp. I slowly walk toward it. "Who's there?" There is no answer. So I stand still for a while and then-

I jump in.

Emi-

I walk as quietly as I can, careful not to step on any of the crackly, fallen leaves on the  ground of Camp Half- blood. A loud roaring woke me while I was asleep in my cabin, and I'm itching to find out what it was.

As I run through the woods and stream near the camp, I notice a trail of muddy paw marks and am relieved to discover that they end at a clearing, where I can stop to rest. I'm so excited however, that after only about 5 minutes, I'm on my feet again. When I reach the site of the roaring, the sight of a huge lion standing on his hind legs nearly makes my eyes pop out.

I'll have to sketch this tomorrow morning.

Phantom~

l was in an especially good mood that morning as l opened the door the moment before Dru knocked. "Would you like a cup of--" Then l noticed her expresstion. "It looks like you've seen a ghost!" l joked. "Funny, Phantom, just funny," she growls, snatching the cup from my hands, upending the contents on my head, throwing it to the pavement and running away down the street.

l stand there, bewondered, tea dripping from my hair. Wha....?  Why would Dru be mad? Puzzled, l enter the house and attempt to wash the stickiness from my hair.

There is a bang at the front door. l refuse to answer it, and in a few moments, there is a crash and a tinkling of glass.

Obviously, this visitor prefers not  to use the door.

Starlight~

There is a bright flash in the woods. l jerk awake, just as a purple portal appears.

Ermine, my white cat, is pacing nervously around the tree that l am leaning against.  She suddenly glances up, and in a white flash, is over by the portal just as someone jumps in.

She looks my way for a moment, and then dives into the rapidly shrinking portal. "Ermine! What are you doing?" l yell after her.

l dash over to the place where the portal was, but it is gone. "Ermine?" l call a few times but to no avail. She, the portal, and whoever jumped into it, are gone.

Ellenia~

I land with a thump in a patch of...something. Something puple and soft and almost like gas, some thing quivering with light. But no time to think about that, someone is in trouble!

"I'm here," I say. "Hello?"

"Hello? Who is it?"

I gasp. Another voice!

"Me," I say. "It's me...I'm Ellenia, tree spirit of the Southern Narnian Twinklewood forest for over 400 years."

"Wait," says the voice. "You're from Narnia?"

"Well, yeah. And you're not?"

"No, I'm from earth. My name is Phantom."

"You're a phantom?"

"No, that's just my name. Now, do you know how we got in here? Because, frankly, I have no idea where we are or what this stuff is."

"Well," I say. "The first thing to do is find each other."

Phantom~

Through the purple mist-like stuff, a white cat comes swimming. She paddles over to me and rubs against my arm. "What are you doing here, puss?"l ask her, scratching her behind the ears.

"Who are you talking to?" asks Ellenia.

"Just a cat that happened to swim along."

"A cat? Swim?"

l shrug, then realize that she can't see me. The cat starts meowing, and swimming back and forth. She tugs on my sleeve, agitated.

She disappears into the mist, then  returns. l think she wants me to follow her, so l do.

In a few minutes,  l call out to Ellenia.

"The cat-"

"Wait!"

l am suprised by how close her voice is. l quickly follow her voice and in a short time, we have found each other. "Wh-" There is a flash of light, and then we are falling, the white cat now clinging to me.

Pearl~

It was quite a strange feeling. Of course, I should have known that going through a portal in the middle of nowhere would feel like this. Actually, maybe not.

When will this be over? I'm feeling extremely... What's the word... Squeamish, I suppose? Sick? Sea-sick? Butterflies-in-stomach? Nevermind, I have already reached... Whatever this place is.

Some other people are near me, one with curly brown hair, the other... What the heck is that? I'm not sure.

I slowly glide toward the two, slowly and carefully. Oh, I do hope they are not scared of me. But they probably are... All humans are usually scared of me. I sigh quietly.

That takes their attention. I think I took the human by surprise, but he seems not to be too frightened.

" 'ello?" I whisper. "M-my name is Pearl."

"Nice to meet you," the strange... thing says. "I'm from Narnia."

"Isn't that a book?" I start laughing loudly. "Is this a joke?"

"Well, I'm pretty sure you're a ghost, so you shouldn't be laughing!" the thing snaps back, offended.

"Then what are you?"

"I'm Ellenia, tree spirit of Southern Narnian Twinkleforest for over 400 years."

"Oh dear me," I murmur.

Ellenia~

There is an akward silence. I break it by saying, "I've never met a real live ghost before!"

The ghost rolls the shadows of eyes. "Well I've never met one of...you, either."

"By the way, what's your name?"

"Uh...Pearl"

More akward silence.

Then Phantom asks, "Well, does anyone know where we are, or how to get us out?"
