You step into the abandoned building, shivering as a cold breeze blows through the long-forgotten place. Tatters of old posters flutter gently as the breeze passes them by. Yet the old, decrepit insane asylum doesn't feel quite as lifeless as it should be...
You've haunted this asylum for decades, ever since it closed in 1987.
So this is a rp where you can either be a human OR a ghost. ONE CHARRIE PER PERSON!
Nothing too dark, though.

Human or ghost? Ghost.
Age: 1,769, died at 18.
Can the asylum be like the rat-infested olden ones where they did "hydrotherapy" with ice cold water and things like that? Seems more eerie and ghostly.
Appearance: Non-corporeal ghost. Hair in a bun, lacy dress.
Personality: Good-natured. Used to haunt a mansion but then it was destroyed and she came here. Sometimes kind of blunt, though.

Appearance: long brown hair, bright green eyes, black shirt and jeans.
Personality: Blunt occasionally, mostly okay, nerd but not bullied because she's in with all the teachers. Anyone who tries to bully her--shwoop--is reported instantly. The ULTIMATE teachers' pet. Friends with one of the other human charries and Olive. She has been to the asylum before.

Why was she in the asylum: She was in there temporarily to be treated for a fever, but sadly, fell too ill. She was an orphan.
Why she remained in the asylum: God wanted her to drive the evil spirits out of the asylum.
Appearance: Dark blonde hair, tealish eyes, petite. Silver heavenly knight armor.
Ghosty powers: Telekinesis, passing through things, coldness, fighting.
Personality: Intelligent, polite, but tough.
Name: No one knows. They call him Loki.

Age when he died: 36
Why was he in the asylum: He was insane.
Appearance: Dark black hair, red eyes, creepy smile. Wears a suit or a straitjacket.
Ghostly powers: You'll see...
Personality: He's the ringleader of the dark spirits. He's EVIL.

Name: Delaware Christanse
Ghost
Age: 900, died at 11
Appearance: Well, transparent of course. Also, short hair in a bob and a skirt and shirt with a tie (a school uniform).
Personality: Good-natured and gets along well with all the other ghosts. She doesn't like to scare people, so she moved away to the aslyum.
Backround: She died in a car crash on the way to school. It was a drunk driver that had a gun on him, and.............. Well, anyway, she died, and she had to haunt that highway for the required time (600 years). After that, she left the highway (because she didn't like scaring the drivers) and moved to this area.
Powers: Actually flies, not just floats. And if she concentrates really hard she can become solid, but not for very long.
P.S: Clode says runz. Run? Okay, ghosts are scary, but I just specified that she's good! Do you ever pay attention to what I write??

Age: 603 (Died at 13)
How he came to the Asylum (He didn't die there): He used to roam the forest he died in, but when it was chopped down for firewood, he looked for another place, and liked the way the asylum looked.
Appearence: Tall for his age, long black hair, gray eyes. Has a green cloak and brown clothes, and does carry a long dagger his father gave him a month before they both died, even in death.
Personality: Peaceful and intelligent, but is brave and tough to beat when challenged or angered.
Ghostly powers: He can pass through any material except jade, and his dagger doesn't hurt people, but it can paralyze them temporarily.
Name: John Wilson
Human or ghost: Ghost
Age:166 (Died at 13)
How he came to the Asylum: He was looking around the city, intent to return to the charred home he died in (in 1862) when he came across the Asylum, and couldn't bring himself to leave the strange place.
Appearence: Short and skinny with brown hair that is long (but not as long as Jacob's) and blue-green eyes.
Personality: Brave and competitive, but is terrified of fire, though it can't hurt him.
Ghostly Powers: Invisibility and feels colder than most ghosts when passed through.

Why in asylum: she had evil powers that noone knows about... she was paranormal...
How died: A murderer killed her. her screams can be heard from miles...
Appearance: Transparent gray long hair, blueish white dress, pale face, BRIGHT blue eyes. Small peite shows, peite in height. Small mouth, large eyes.
Personality: Mysterious, strange, shy. Slightly dark, and the one who does all the whispers and screams.
Powers: Has the most beautiful voice, can read peoples minds and speak to people in their mind.
Name: Jackie Renes
Human girl
Age: 18
Why in asylum: Came there on accident, can't get out.
Appearance: Fluffy brown hair, braces and freckles, short, blue eyes.
Personality: Brave to the real stuff, scared by the paranormal. Proud, smart, careful and resourceful.
Other: Sister to the Unknown ghost.

Name: She'll tell you it's Whisper. No one knows her real name.
Age when died: 8
Appearance: Long hair, tied with a little bow in the back, and an old-fashioned dress with a Peter Pan collar and puff sleeves. Wears a secret little smile. Her eyes and bow are blue, everything else is transparent.
Why she was at the asylum: She was one of the guard's daughters.
How she died: She was on the roof of the asylum, dared by her friend, and fell off. Then hit her head on a metal fencepost. Her friend was the daughter of someone in the asylum, and she was put in it right afterward.
Ghostly powers: She can whisper stuff straight into peoples minds, and can go through walls.

Age- She died when she was 7, no one knows when or why (it probably will be discovered in the storyline)
Appearence- transparent white skin, floats instead of walking, happy little girl face with big brown eyes and curly black hair, wears a pink princess dress (like the fancy ones little girls play dress up in) with a plastic golden crown, she also carries around a little purple stuffed bunny.
Personality- Princess is very friendly for a ghost, but would rather be friends with other ghosts than people in the mortal world. She likes to tell people about her stuffed bunny, Louise M. Gegenschein, who has strangely wise insight on most subjects. Basically, she is your typical happy-go-lucky little princess.

Bascially, Louise is very kind and loving to Princess, and always gives her and other random people advice, insight, or whatever she feels like saying.
She looks like any cute stuffed purple bunny a little girl might carry around...
