Oh, and I think I forgot to mention it before now, but they're daughters of Hecate, not Hestia. I always get the two mixed up.

Hey, maybe Helena could be the "living fire?" After all, that is her only power....

I sit on my bed, rocking my legs back and forth, ignoring the fact that the rubbing wood hurts a bit. My eyes are trained on Helena, who's bouncing around the cabin chanting, "I'm going on a queee-est, I'm going ona queeee-est!"

It's been like this for days.

Even I'm rather excited. My first quest! I'm actually going to leave Camp Half-Blood. I don't even know if Helena can remember when we first came here! 

"Helena," I say, "My legs are getting sore. I'm going to go for a walk, OK? Don't hurt yourself."

"I'm going on a qeee-est....."

I sigh, rolling my eyes, and exit the cabin.

It's peaceful out here, with swords clashing and people screaming as they get singed by the lava wall. I take in a deep breath of it all, then walk away through the woods to my favorite place in the camp.

Most of the woods is covered by Mist, actually. That doesn't mean the things that we see aren't true, it just means it isn't neccessarily what the wood is actually like. When I first found that out, I un-Misted this area (the whole thing would probably kill me) and immedeatelly declared it my favorite area on camp.

It's surrounded by Mist craggy rocks that not even the bravest demigod would climb, but I found a spot I can slither through to get here.

Beautiful.

The whole area is a gigantic field with the purest air you will ever breathe. It's full of exoctic flowers that I've never seen anywhere else, and there's even a waterfall in the backround. If the whole forest is actually like this, it would be every demigod's favorite place.

"I thought I would find you here."

I whirl around, but all I see is a cloaked figure.

"Um, hello," I reply. "Er, do you need something?"

The figure laughed. "Please don't tell me you've forgotten your mother, Justice."
I gasp. "Mom?"

"Yes, it's me. I wanted to congradualate you on your first quest."

"Oh. Thank you." I'm fighting the urge to run up and hug her.

"And be warned- watch your step. Do not fight your urge for crossroads. If you do, it will be the death of you."
A flash of light, and she's gone.

I sigh and turn back towards camp.

Gosh I really wish cloudy dweller woukld come back.

And hey Hermione, I'm a little confused about your character, Chris. First you said he was a son of Hephaestus, but he had water powers....then you cleared that up...then you changed his appearance from blond and green-eyed to brunette and brown-eyed. And THEN in the Chris/Ianthe love scene, you said your father was the god of healing.....???????

Sorry Owlgirl! Forget I said "god of healing", ok? This is the CHRIS AND I WILL NOT CHANGE HIM ANYMore.

Hey Rose bud, if you want to create a "newfound" power for Chris, you can make it so that he can grow and form wheat into traps and walls and blocks and stuff.

I am SO sick and tired of waiting. All other participants, you are free, VERY FREE, VERY VERY FREE to drop in and contribute.

I'm starting the quest!

So when we leave, we won't know exactly where we are going, we'll have to seek out someone wise...maybe Nereus, old man of the sea? or Apollo? or we could make someone up. Please give ideas.

Whoever we seek will tell us that in order to defeat the core of earth, we will have to seek out some magical item, divided into three...or maybe four....or maybe five pieces. We'll have to go to multiple places to find the pieces, face multiple perils, while still going by the prophecy.

I need your opinions (before we set off) on:

-who the wise person will be

-what the magical item will be

-how many pieces the item will be divided into

and just to keep you updated on the meaning of the prophecy:

 One shall fail: let's determine that later.

One shall fall: Chris, who Hermione said she will kill off.

One shall have a change of heart: someone turing good to evil or evil to good.

One's soul shall be pierced by cursed dart: that could mean literally a cursed dart, or it can mean Cupid's dart; someone falls in love.

Living fire shall bebirth the foe: that could be the heart of Gaia, which will bebirth monsters, arise rebellion among unhappy gods and monsters, etc.

To child of nature is utmost woe: it should be either Ianthe (daughter of Artemis) or maybe even somebody we haven't met yet. 

Beware Earth's curse and fiery breath: the whole heart of Gaia thing again, and maybe something having to do with a volcano

thou dare defy the blockades of death: could mean something in the Underworld, or it could mean someone trying to bring somebody back from the dead....Ianthe trying to bring Chris back!

Ooh, I have idea. How about the magic item (divided into four pieces) is a kardiastone.iI made that word up. Kardia is ancient Greek for heart. Heart of earth stone.

Good idea. Kardiastone.
