Complicated, odd, RP.

Chatterbox: Inkwell

Complicated, odd, RP.

Complicated, odd, RP.

Okay, so I fully admit that I got this idea from a movie I watched, but I think it could make a very fun RP. =)

Here is the plot idea; you have two characters, one is the writer, and one is the character that they write. Long story short, the writer is writing the life of the character, who actually is a living, breathing person who is experiencing that world. Got it? I don't know how well I'm explaining it . . .

Anyway, so there are a lot of ways that this story could be written- does the author know that he is controlling the life of a real person? Does the character know? Do they find out, either of them? Do they meet, ever? Is the character living in a fantasy/sci-fi/past era world, or the one that the writer lives in? With which person do you sympathize? Also, another idea, maybe they could both be aware of each other, and communicate (humorously) by thought? You decide! Our characters can meet each other, within a book, or our writers could meet in the real world, or both.

Also; please limit yourself to one writer, but you can have as many books/characters within books as you want!

*Inhales for first time since the beginning* I feel like what I'm writing is a little confusing, so if you have a question please tell me!

My characters;

Name; Isaac Threadgoode

Category; writer

Age; 41

Gender; male

Genre he writes; some medieval fiction, some fantasy, a little sci-fi, sometimes. Planning a mystery. Looks down upon writers who write love stories.

Personality; He's pretty uptight. A little snooty, snotty, rude, condescending, and self-absorbed, but is a good person at heart and has a soft spot for the elderly. He visits his grandmother in her nursing home. They have a great friendship, she is sarcastic and witty, makes him learn not to take himself so seriously, and inspires him to write a few stories. He despises children.

Appearances; he has short black hair, though he is starting to go bald, grey eyes, thin lips, sallow cheeks, and is a little thin. Wears a black beret, dark jeans, a black trench coat, and a wristwatch whose batteries have been dead for at least three years.

Writing methods; he usually writes on a laptop, but when he's writing something very important to him, trying to get rid of write's block, or strangely enough, about to kill a character, he writes on paper with a silver pen that his grandmother gave him when he first got published.

Books; Kavira- The Tale of the Kingdom of Blood and Fate, a book series (that is a fantasy) full of dwarves and elves, as well as Narrow Graves, a mystery, and  Dragons' Glory, the tale of a kingdom thats knights hunt a nearby group of dragons, only to find those were the last of the species, and that they hunted them to to extinction. Also, one set in the 'real' world, called Marina's Quiet. (For the record, I have no idea about the content of pretty much any of these, so it'll be an adventure for me.)

Characters;

1.

Name; Teirra Wolfsbane

Category; Character

Age; 17

Gender; Female

Book; Kavira- The Tale of the Kingdom of Blood and Fate, from now on known as Kavira, because I'm not typing that whole thing again.

Appearance; Long dirty blond hair down to her waist, deep blue eyes and thin face. Wears an old patched peasants' dress, and black leggings.

Personality; cold and bitter, has had a hard life. Is a loner, keeps to herself, isn't very kind to others, but, along with that, doesn't expect anyone to be kind to her. She was a bright and happy child, but- see 'backstory'.

Backstory; Was raised in a lord's household, being the daughter of Lord Wolfsbane, but the peasants revolted, killing her father, a cruel and much feared ruler (her mother having perished much earlier from sickness) and her brother. The king knew, but did nothing to help. She managed to escape, and is now homeless and poor,  living in the woods, or sometimes on the streets in the kingdom, but only when deer are too hard to catch, or winter threatens.

2.

Name; Arthur Tempest

Category; character

Age; 23

Gender; male

Book; Kavira

Appearance; short black hair and dark green eyes. Wiry but strong. Tall,  burn scar on his right arm.

Personality; cold, distant, bitter. Misses his parents. Won't let any emotion show.

Backstory; was stolen from his home and raised as a soldier for the king. His parents were killed in the raid

3.

Name; Kind Albaron Lithe

Category; character

Age; 72

Gender; male

Book; Kavira

Appearance; Long grey hair and beard, bird like face, long nose, pale skin. Wears black robes and a silver crown. He has a bronze-colored sword.

Personality; cold, mean, cruel, evil, distant and disappointed in his only son, a merciless ruler.

Backstory; poisoned his father to get to the throne.

I'll post other characters, and characters for other books, later!

P.S. You could make characters in my book, Kavira, too, if you want. Also, I apologize for any typos. I'm sure I'll find a few once I post . . . X-o

Toooooopppppp

Abigail~
I wake up staring into a toilet.

Okay, I admit you get some weird things in life. But this is literally what happens:

I come into being, knowing about some stranger's life (or is it a stranger? feels like me) and staring into a toilet. A toilet that happens to have a drowning rabbit in it. Yep, welcome to the world, Abigail. Your birth present is a drowning rabbit in the lavatory.

From some influence that is certainly not my own, I pick up the rabbit and bring it outside and start to have a conversation with my "parents" about keeping it. It's really weird, because I don't want to be saying these words, but I'm saying them.

Then suddenly a thought that I did not think comes into my head. I have to act like I'm going a little crazy right now or they won't let me keep it. I don't want to keep the rabbit! I want to get out of here!

_______________

I hope I'm handling things right! If they're supposed to think differently just let me know!
