Relic RPThis

Relic RP

This is about a futuristic society where people are not allowed to keep anything from the past; everything is new. The government controls everything.

But then we find artifacts, relics of the past (things of value, but not immpossibly expensive) and the government tries to hunt us down.

Name: Galada Rixx

Age: 13

Artifact (max of two): A pearl necklace with one amethyst and a hardback copy of LOTR.

Personality: Genius, marches to the beat of her own drum.

Occupation: Library worker.

Galada:

I walked up the stairs into my house's attic. So much dust. This place was untouched by the government.

Suddenly I noticed a wood-bound book. A book.

I walked up to it and looked at the cover. The Lord of the Rings Complete Set.

I opened the cover to find that the front cover was hollow. I could tell; after all, I worked with books a lot.

I shook the book and something fell out.

A pearl necklace with an amethyst, my birthstone.

My first thought was one I should never, ever have had:

I won't tell the government.

Great idea!

Name: Falada Formae, nickname is Ali

Age: 11 and a half

Artifact(s): a necklace of seaglass with aquamarine in the center and an iPod (with songs on it).

Personality: Nice and slightly smarter than her age, but not by much. She's a little bit shy, but mostly open. She has a good sense of what's bad and what's good.

Occupation:  A cook's apprentice, works in a market square. She's mostly the errand girl, though.

Appearance: Violet eyes and long flowing black hair. She has bangs but keeps them back with a red headband. She usually wears a skirt and short sleeved shirt.

Question: Does this future have advanced technology?

Falada~

Finally, break. It's lunchtime, so the small food stand is busting with hunry people. I don't care. I've worked all day.

I make a beeline to a small tent on the corner. In it is my best friend, a (only slightly) old man named Plutarch. He smiles when he sees me and leads me around his display of scented candles. He hangs a closed sign on the front and leads me into the tent behind his stall.

It smells musty, but I don't mind. This is Plutarch and I's secret hidout. He smiles and lifts up a trapdoor I hadn't seen before.

"I found these," he hisses. "When I delivered some candles to the (insert government's highest official)'s assistant, I happened to spot a badly hidden door. I opened it, and you won't believe what I saw!"

"What?" I whisper, entranced.

"Artifacts! Past atifacts! That room is where they keep them all!"
He holds up two objects.

"I took these," he says, "for you."

In his hands are a necklace with some kind of smooth glass and a piece of aquamarine-my birthstone- strung on it, and he's also holding a small device.

"This," he says, idicating the divice, "is an iPod. It plays music. And this," he indicates the necklace, "has a glass called seaglass. It's when glass is put in salt water for a long time. It smooths out the edges."
"Oh, Plutarch," I whisper. "You shouldn't have."

Name: Fee Dahki

Age: Not sure, 9,10, or 11, she thinks.

Artifact (max of two): A battery charger with several batteries and a USB drive.

Personality: Shy, she will not talk to someone just because, but if you befriend her she is loyal to the end. She doesn't like to take center stage and does not get angry easily. If someone does something stupid, she just leaves them to take the consequences which will inevitably come instead of shouting at them.

Occupation: She does odd jobs mainly. Some of her main jobs are sweeping the streets, running messages, feeding pets when their owners are on vaction, and lighting the lamps at night.

Fee:

I had just finished an exhausting day scraping together enough money for a slab of bread and a pouchful of water. I was walking to my hole-up when I realized it was occupied. Someone whose shadow was quite large. I darted in and grabbed my cloak and my spare pair of leather shoes, which I had foolishly left there. I raced away before they could catch me.

I was below a bridge. I knew bridges were full of places to stay. I looked around. There seemed to be a nook up in the bridge's posts. I climbed up. It was a small space, but big enough to sleep, and there was a crack where I could tuck my stuff. I was about to put it into the crack when I discovered there was already a clunky parcel there. I pulled it down and unwrapped it. A black plastic device with small rounded things tucked into the hollow part of it. A battery charger. And a much smaller black plastic thing, with a metal sticking-out bit. A USB drive. I smile. Why not keep it? Rebeling might fill my stomach.

Name Amathest Jane Arvy

Artifacts a small green computer and a Swiss army knife

personality good natured in about everything, a good friend.

occupation she is a maid for the shomakers

Amathest  Jane -

" Ami," I hear the shomaker's wife call, "could you go up to the attic and find me the box with the smiling lion it ?" I sigh, then putting my broom away I run upstairs to the one room in the house I have not seen yet. I pull down the string for the ladder and it falls down narrowly missing my head. I climb up the rickety ladder and poke my head up through the trapdoor. I breath out and a whole clowd of dust flies into the air (and half of it up my nose). I sneeze three times, then look around again. There are boxes and boxes everywhere and each one has about half an inch of dust on it. I soon found the lion box in a corner of the room. I pull it out and then catch sight of a small green rectangular thing. I set the box down and pick up the green thing. I open it up and a note slips out. It says, "Finder of this computer, This is the last one of its kind. I have preserved it so it will last about a hundred years, meanwhile i have downloaded some games that they do not make any more, so have fun". I gasp. This is is over a hundred years old and it is  an artifact I could get in big trouble for finding this. But I don't want to turn it in. I want to keep it. Then I hear a voice from downstairs " Ami, what is taking so long?"
