Detective RP!!

I posted this one a couple days ago, and I think it may have been lost or something (I hope I'm not being pushy ;-) )

I feel like this is reallysuperuberlamelikereallylame, so bare with me . . .

Okay! Here's how it goes; it is based on the Oregon coast, (for our purposes here; cold, misty, mysterious) in a diner. Our private detective characters are meeting there (even though they are usually bitter enemies; bickering ensues) because they are joining together on a job. A very large and prestigious job from a very rich client. Eventually, a tension raises to unbearable heights and culminates in one huge fight. In the middle of this, the diner is held up by a group of masked robbers. 

The beauty of this one- your character can either be a robber or a detective.

Okay, here are mine:

Detective:

Name: Nymph "Nym" Clearwater (a pun XD)

Age: just turned 16

Gender: female

Appearances: Kind of pointy features. Light blue eyes - that look like cracked ice - upturned at the corners, a haughty-looking upturned nose, slightly-past-chin-length hair kind of in-between blond and brunette, leaning on the blond side; and two scars. One faint one above her left eyebrow, and one more apparent one on the back of her right hand that she insists is from a female bank robber, but is actually from an accident with her little brother - funny, not sad-

Her normal attire includes very light-colored jeans, Pink Floyd tee-shirts, and a peacoat. She usually wears a beret, but it is almost never on her head, as she takes it off and waves it about to make her points.

Personality: a sarcastic know-it-all that always has to have a comeback- whether it's the smart thing for the situation or not. Can be kind of hard to be around because of this, and is kind of a loner anyway. She can sometimes have a hard time looking at things from another's point of view, and also grasping the gravity of a situation. She is the kind of person who really cares about her reputation.

Background: grew up happily in a comfortable home with a loving mother and her little brother. Her father disappeared when she was three, and she became a detective partly due to her need to find him, and also partly to prevent other people from having to feel the pain she felt. She dropped out of school and moved into a scrappy apartment on the bad side of town when she was fifteen. She is still close with her mom, and didn't leave because of lack of love, but she is slightly ashamed- no, actually very ashamed of her happy background, and will never admit it to anybody.

Weapon: gun. She usually carries one. But she is handy with (almost) all weapons.

Robber: 

Name: Gary Neilson

Age: 20

Gender: male 

Appearances: tousled black hair that sicks out in all directions, twig-like arms and legs, brown eyes, and button nose. Usually red-rimmed eyes. Usual attire; a long-sleeve sweater with the collar of his button-up shirt sticking out, maroon skinny jeans, and rectangular, black framed glasses. Robber attire: black hoodie, black jeans, and a hot pink ski mask with his glasses worn over in a comical way. He purchased fake gold chains from a convenience store to look more "cool", little does he know, they actually say "Happy New Year!" in beads. Also, his gun.

Personality: nervous and shy, but also has a yappy condescending side with his (few) friends. Is not a bad person. Is incredibly protective of his little sister. 

Background: or, really, his reason for robbing the diner - is desperate for college money. Falls in with the wrong crowd - who treats him fairly badly - to make it up. Has no intention of violence! His hands become sweaty, as he is nervous, and he drops the gun. It goes off (but does not hit anyone!).

Weapon: his father's gun, but he is horrible with it, and has never uses it before the robbery. He is very surprised at the sound, and is partially deaf for ten minutes afterwards.

Okay! That's it for my characters. I hope this RP works. ;-) Are there any unspoken rules for a RP? Like do you take turns in a certain way . . . ? Also, I plan a certain scene where Nym is shouting at a waitress - please add a note next to your character if you don't mind them being the one who tells her to shut up. :-)
