I Never Wanted
Chatterbox: Inkwell
I Never Wanted
I Never Wanted To Be Darkness
Note: This poem was inspired by some words that I collected from the Chatterbox. It turned out sort of creepy, though.

I stood outside in the cold
and watched the carefully created illusions;
they shone like storm-splattered puddles
with an eerie, muffled light
I never wanted to be darkness
but the shadows collapsed upon me
to form a strange being
I was lightning
and sometimes thunder,
and it had something to do with you
It seemed that I knocked over light
beckoning it closer
only to push it away again
I never wanted to be darkness
but what is more mysterious
than a clouded soul
