Chatterbox: Inkwell

I decided to

I decided to post my book! Yay! I'll post bits at a time, because I have 11 Doc pages.
Here we go:

Rusted Hope;

Book one, Wizard Wings (Working Title):

I
had just recently turned seven, at the moment I was sitting on the
ledge doing a stone carving of the Dragon Mother, my Mother,
Lehinleanama.

“Mother,” I said softly to the Dragon

“Yes, Westerya darling?” came my Mother’s reply

“Come in to the woods and play with me!”

“Not now, dear.” she said wearily

“Why?”

“I need my rest.”

“But you’ve been resting all morning!”

“Oh alright, hop on.”

Then we rode to my favorite playing spot, under the Mleeck Tree.

Then I saw it,

another girl.

She dropped what she was doing, and ran, screaming ‘DAAAGON!’

“Mother, why was she afraid of us?” I asked somewhat later

“Why were you afraid of her?

I glanced at my hands I was gripping my leather tunic tightly,

“Well she was- different.”

“We are- different to her. Vary.”

“Why? She’s the strange one.”

“Dragons are not liked here. Yet we live here. That is most likely why.”

“Oh.”
