So, how about an rp where we make up the plot as we go along?
The world: A lot like middle earth, has elves, dwarves, and humans.

Apperance: Tall for a Halfling. Hair has bangs, and comes down in ringlets to her waist. Medium-dark skin, electric green eyes. She wears very thin homemade leather armor and a shadowdancer's dress over it.
Personality: She's tough and fiesty, and gladly murders if necessary. Favorite weapon is a knife or dagger. Likes Fael (her friend)'s music, which
she dances to, and thinks Krisora (another friend)'s magic is EPIC.
Class: Rogue, although with the above listed, she would be a thief.

Name: Lia Dragontongue du Galanodel
Age: 119 (sixteen or so in human years)
Race: Wood-elf
Gender: Female
Appearance: Very long black hair, emerald green eyes. Short by human standards, but about average height for an elf. Wears a green tunic and brown leather trousers, sturdy leather boots, and an odd leather garment somewhat like a harness across her chest, with a great many pockets for her spell components and a larger pouch at each side for components for spells she already has prepared.
Personality: Very smart; generally "the brains of the operation." Bold but cautious, sometimes overmuch. Slow to make friendships, but even slower to break them, and will protect her friends to the last. Beware her quarterstaff, her biting wit, and her attempts at cooking!

Race~ Half frost elf, but thinks she's all human
Gender~ Female
Appearance~ Shoulder-length, straight, dark red hair with natural silverish highlights and blue-green eyes. Pretty short too.
Personality~ Hard-working, adventrous, and tough
Class~ Oh gosh, I don't know..... If she doesn't know she's an elf, does she need a class? If so, fighter, I guess.

This far south, frost elves and their progeny are relatively rare. Nellethiel likely hails from the great ice-deserts up near the city of Gale, or even Arden's Folly, which is the northernmost outpost of any race but frost elves. They may have great cities or something further north, but if they do, the rest of us don't know about it. 'Twould be a bit implausible for there to be two half-frost elves here, in the same place at the same time.
Your elven parent can be a wood, valley, or Sidhe elf instead. Wood-elves live in forests and are skilled in magic; valley elves live mostly in valleys (obviously) and are the most carefree, humor-loving type; and Sidhe elves, also called high elves, live in very remote areas and are quite wise and powerful. Wood and valley elves are quite common in these parts, though Sidhe elves are uncommon just about anywhere.
