Time travel RP!!
Any ideas? Oh, by the way, there are five spots on this RP, not including me. It gets kind of messy when lots of people join, so I'll have to limit it.

@Little Sister: I like your idea. Why don't we make it where they're not related, but some guy went back in time and wants to change history or something?

"McGear!" a voice snapped Sprocket from her daydreams, "McGear!"
She jumped. "Sorry, Mr. Piston!" she said apologetically. She had a tendency to daydream, because this engineering project was so easy.
Piston walked off jauntily to see the other workers.
Suddenly a girl appeared in the middle of her shop. The girl screamed. She looked about Sprocket's age. "Oy!" Sprocket scowled, "Who're you?"
The girl looked at her with scared eyes. "I'm Calliope."

The bird sat outside my prison window. I sighed, at least they put me in a sell with a bit of light, I thought. That's all I ever did, now that I've been caught, think. The bird's eyes shifted in, it's talons, grew, immensely. Aha, I thought, mechanical. Fine work, if I do say so, myself.
It's talons, pierced, the foot thick glass. I gasped. Leer.
I saw the bird(His name is ArueL, if I recall, correctly) ArueL, dug
with it's beak, catching the glass, just in time. The bird flew in. I
closed my eyes. The glass dropped.
~~TWENTY-FOUR HOURS LATER~~
I
wake up, thick shards of glass, cutting into my skin. I looked around.
Black walls, black bed, black desk, pure white hover chair. My bedroom.
I'm bleeding everywhere. I'm terrified. Yet I stand straight, as the
doorknob turns, my face, still, and emotionless.
~~FLASH BACK, TO TEN YEARS EARLIER~~

Jesse~
I watch the seemingly puny cars go by from my family bedroom window. Can't believe we managed to get a apartment here. And it's pretty large, too!
"Honey, come here for some breakfast," my mom says, smiling cheerfully.
It's my birthday. I used to be 15 and now I'm 16. I used to think that I would look strong, tall, and powerful... But not really. I sigh quietly, and follow my mom toward the table.
"Cheer up, Jesse, it's your birthday," my older brother says, punching me in the shoulder. I smile weakly.

I sighed as I placed an old picture frame in the box. Why did my mom have to get involved in this? The minute she heard I had a free weekend, she insisted I help my grandma clean out her attic. I had tried everything: yelling, pouting, ignoring her, threatening to drop out of school. But nothing worked on her. She still made me do it.
I approached a pile of old cardboard boxes all stacked up. I lifted them off and placed them on the floor. The very last box was empty. Well, except for a small cube. I picked it up. It looked kind of like a rubix cube, only it was all a shiny black color. It looked surprisingly modern. I twisted it around.
Suddenly, a screen flashed on one side of the cube. Below it was a small keyboard. I whistled. "Whoa," I said softly. The screen flashed: "PLEASE TYPE THE TIME PERIOD YOU WISH TO VISIT"
I had to laugh at that. Somebody's got to be pulling my leg here, I thought. But my curiousity got the better of me. My mind flashed back to what we were studying at school. The city of Pompeii. I quickly typed it in.
At first, nothing happened. I was about to hurl the cube at the wall, but suddenly, the room began to spin around me. I blinked hard and reeled back. "What the..." The walls began to morph and it seemed like they were turning into mush. Bright colors flashed out of them. The floor began to move under my feet.
Suddenly I was thrown onto my back. The floor was bucking underneath me. I felt the sensation of being pulled from every direction. Everything became dark. I counted 200 seconds before I could see again.
Only, I wasn't in my grandma's attic anymore.
I was in the middle of the city of Pompeii.

Sprocket grabbed her time warper. "Come on, I can help. What time do you come from?"
Calliope looked down. "79 AD. Pompeii."
"Pompeii?" Sprocket paled. "Calliope, what was the date when you left?"
"August 23rd."
"Oh no. Tomorrow is-"
"Tomorrow is what?"
"Tomorrow, Mount Vesuvius will erupt-"
"WHAT?!"
Calliope collapsed dramatically into a chair.
Sprocket set the time machine, and they went to Pompeii.
A boy was lying in the middle of the street.
(December 24, 2014 - 10:20 pm)
Since everyone else is going to Pompeii, I will go to Pompeii! And also, I change my mind. Jesse will live in modern times as well.
Jesse~
I ate my breakfast quietly, smiling at the presents piling near the table. It was exciting, but not very new. I have gone through this for years. First breakfast, then presents, then cake. I finish my last spoonful of cereal and then swoop onto the presents.
Most were just new video games for my 3ds, while others were just clothes and candy. Finally, there was only one more. One tiny present left. I rip off the wrapping paper, and to my surprise, the present wasn't a new video game. It was a pair of glasses.
"They were your grandmother's," my dad says. I frown at them, but cover it up by announcing we should have cake.
The cake is done, but my curiousity is still wavering toward the glasses. I excuse myself from the table, and go to my bedroom.
The glasses are very old, and dust is still curled up in some places. I blow on it, though only barely. Finally, I put them on.
I yank them off fearfully. It showed me a different surrounding. What did it show me? It looked like a ancient city...
What... the... heck?
