I found out that the old CBers think that "us newbies" have messed up the cb. I feel really bad, because they said the newbie rps are too fast. Also, they don't treat newbies like equals. Melody makes an rp? ALL the oldies join. I make a rp? NO oldies join. That's just what happens.
Ten comments from different people, and I stay.
Brookeira, I think someone was merely pointing out changes in Chatterbox over the last year or so. Some RPs may be faster than others, but the speed is up to the participants. Things are bound to change as people come and go, but anything we deem suitable for posting is welcome. That's life!

Well, this is gonna help. No offense, but this comment hurt my feelings. We are not stupid, but sometimes you oldies seem like you just don't like our rps. You gotta get into our shoes.

P.S., Admin, if you aren't going to post this, will you please tell me? I tried to post a reply to this comment before but I think maybe you didn't post it, and I'm sorry if it seemed rude, but my feelings are kind of hurt by everyone who is saying that the oldies don't treat the newbies like equals--and, on top of that, this anonymous person who seems like they posted a comment attacking me. Thanks.
Yes, I did delete that comment, Madeline. I'm close to deleting the whole thread. It's so easy to misjudge the tone of an email, and we think this discussion has gone far enough. I hope you understand. Everyone is welcome and we don't want any comments to hurt anyone's feelings, but at the same time we try to allow as much free speech as possible.

I'm very sorry you feel that way, Brookeira. I've never thought of the newbies as different from us, and you most definately do no ruin the CB. You guys make it more interesting. I'm not an oldie or a newbie. I think what you said aobut the RP thing is just a random thing. I mean, I only join RPs based on my interests. For example, I don't join any fantasy RPs that much, usually science fiction. It doesn't matter WHO starts them!
I would really feel bad if you left, Brookeira. Please stay. None of us ever meant to make you guys feel left out. Perhaprs we did it unconciously. If you ever see me doing that, tell me. Just please don't leave.

Brooke stay! We need you, and after I read that post I thought about leaving but look at it from both sides! They never ment to hurt our feelings, but some people leave and come back, and some people come in. Besides if people never came in, cb would be dead by now! But this conversation brings another question to my mind.... Am I on the cb too much? Btw.... HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL!

Brooke, please don't leave. I'm sorry my comment was misread. (This is a little bit about the thing I said about "faster RPs," isn't it?) One thing that isn't obvious in my posts is that I write and rewrite them, especially on touchy subjects, deleting them until I get it right. I thought I had a reasonable response, but obviously I didn't. All of the RPs move faster nowadays. Not just the ones made by newer CBers. Honestly, I can't bring myself to say "newbies" and "oldies" anymore. We all are CBers. I personally have too much going on right now to keep up with an RP that updates fast. I hope I'll be able to join one of those RPs soon--I've wanted to join many RPs in the Inkwell (including some made by none other than YOU!), but I haven't had the chance yet. I hate to see people fighting. I didn't want to contribute to the fight, but rather stop it. I went around the wrong way doing that, I'm sorry. I can imagine it's frustrating when everyone is remembering CBers you don't know and then when they seem to attack you. (That's about what happened, right? It's all so confusing now, let's just let it go.) We certainly didn't mean it.
Please don't leave the CB--you seem like a wonderful CBer and I'd like to get to know you better. This thread is filled with CBers who would miss you if you left, and I'm sure there are many other CBers who are trying to avoid touching what became an argument, but would miss you all the same.
I hope I've done my words right this time! I'm so good at messing up!

I think I still count as a newbie, but from the rps I've done with you Brooke, I think you are an awesome writer, an awesome character maker, an awesome idea maker, and an awesome person, even though I don't actually really know you. I don't think you should leave. After all, what's the Superhero's RP without an Aveleen? You can't have a telepathy character and continue without her, can you? And you definitely can't live without a Brooke. Because water gives life. And you give life to Chatterbox, and especially Inkwell.

Brooke, I'm pretty sure YOU know, of all people, whether you'd like to stay or not. So if you're having these doubts, why don't you try and figure out what works best for you? None of us know you except you, so we can't be the ones to judge.
So please, please please please don't rely on US to tell you what to do.
You decide if you want to stay.
We all want you to, but YOUR opinion is the important one here. =)
