Chatterbox: Inkwell

A loud scream surrounded the area. People gasped and jumped. King Emerald stood. The queen, frightened, stood up too, in concern. I looked above, then right, then left again. Another scream had sounded. At this point everyone crowded together tightly like molecues in a solid.

No this can't be true, I thought as my twin, Mary, held out her hand. "He's back, Britney," she began staring at the ballroom doors. '"We have to defeat him once more and this time finish him off, but not now....." The people in the background screamed in horror and anxiously stepped back. I glanced back at her. "Why can't we defeat him now?" I asked now making eye contact with her.

"Because," Mary began again, "he must have gained power after we decimated him. He must have found the quistal." I turned around putting my attention on the door too. A big shot of sparkling light morphed into a brigde. Mary smiled. I put my sword away and followed Mary as we both walked desperately along the icy bridge to the glittering ballroom door.
