Another one I posted on Cicada . Enjoy & please critique ! Admins , feel free as well !

 

Thunderstorm

Loud . The crack of thunder scares me . I cower under my covers . The pitter-patter of rain on the concrete soothes me , but only a little . The lightning lights up the dark , midnight sky . Pow ! Hades is beating Persephone .

 

I like it.

I like the words you chose: cower, soothes... I also like the analogy at the end with Hades and Persephone; it's very creative.
