Do any of

Do any of you like writing peoms?

If you do, I thought of a game-thingy we could do. One person says a theme for the next person, and the next person writes a peom, using that theme and gives a new theme for the next person, ect.

If none of you do, that's fine too, but I thought it would be fun XD. Since I love writing peoms.

OK, so, just to get this started, I'm going to write one about. . . ahem, well you guys will have to figure out what's it about yourself. Most of my peoms are really sad, though, so. . . just be warned.

The
Old Wise One Calls

The
Old Wise One calls

From
the murky depths of the sea

A
long, sad, lonely call

Of
desperation and despair

Of
one in her hour of need

The
Old Wise One calls

From
the far reaches of heaven

A
heart, breaking, lowing call

Of
the unloved and lonely

Of
one close to death

The
Old Wise One calls

From
the oldest trees

A
soft, mystical call

Of
tales once told

From
the years long-gone

The
Old Wise One calls

From
every grain of sand

A
hopeless, dying call

Of
one long forgotten

Of
the last moments of a creature completely alone

The
Old Wise One calls

From
the deepest roots of the grass

A
beautiful, grateful call

Of
giving thanks

For
a long and bountiful life

The
Old Wise One calls

And
all of the creatures

From
the tiniest bug to the largest fish

Of
the earth

Answere

The
Old Wise One calls

And
the plants

From
the youngest sapling to the driest grass

Of
the forests, oceans, and deserts

Answere

The
Old Wise One calls

And
the wind, rain, and sun

From
the dimmest star to the largest wave

Of
the galaxy and depths of the ocean

Answere

The
Great Blue Whale calls

And
all the atoms of the universe

Listen to the tale

Of
its magical and mystical Life

The
Great Blue Whale

Gave
its last long breath

To
tell of the lives of the wise and the foolish

Then
all the all the things of the universe

Gave
it a little of them selves

With
that they bid her good bye

All
those years spent

Learning,
Learning, Learning all

Live
on in hearts of those who heard

The
Old Wise One's Call

So, that was it. I wrote it for my older sister for her birthday, since her theme was whales . . .  wait, do you guys ever have themes for your birthdays? We don't really have a theme for the birthday parties themselves, but each of us draw a banner, I mean, ahem, a, um, oh what to call it, I guess a several page picture? well, anyway we draw one about the thing that person chooses, like steampunk, or magic school, or balls or something. This is very off topic.

Okaaaay, so the next person can write a peom about. . . um. . . pine trees! Hope you guys like this!

I like your idea, Corina, and your poem is quiet sad but I enjoyed it very much. I am not really good at writing poems but I might come on again later (or a few days) and try (not right now though because I've got to finish school and I have no good ideas for a poem at this moment). We don't have birthday themes but like you, one of my sisters and I make banners, cards, streamers, and other things like that for birthdays. I never thought about having birthday themes. I think that is a good idea.
