Chatterbox: Inkwell

NEW STORY CHAIN!

Okay, guys, so I see a lot of these "story chains" on the CB and I thought, Why not, I'll give it a try. So, the story is going to be about people who live on clouds. I don't have a strong and sure idea but let's see how this plays out.

My character:

NAME: Tallulah McNamara

AGE: 13

APPEARANCES: pale skin, light brown hair, green eyes, very short and slender

PERSONALITY: upbeat, curious, sensitive, adventurous. When she's happy, she's extremely happy. When she's mad, she's extremely mad.

Here goes!

Tallulah was awoken on Monday morning, September 20th, by a loud and awfully strange rumbling. She yawned, annoyed, and glanced at her Cloud Watch.

"It's 5 in the morning," she declared, rolling her eyes. "Must be the thunder."

Tallulah squeezed her pillow on her head forcefully, attempting to drown out that horrible noise. She tightened her grip angrily. Why did it have to be so loud?

"Oh, yeah. Because I live on a cloud. Because these people here aren't normal like the ones down there," she muttered.

"Tal? Is that you?" Mother's voice sounded quite tired and impatient.

"Um, no," she called back. "Not me at all." She continued pushing the pillow on her face.

Mother poked her head into the room. "I think it is you," she said with a tiny smile. "If you're not going to go to sleep, at least be quiet. Margot and Zev are trying to sleep."

"I know, Mother," replied Tallulah. Her little sister, Margot, and her twin brother, Zev were in the next rooms. She could even hear Zev snoring away. Almost.

"All right. 'Night, Peanut." Mother backed away and closed the door gently.

Tallulah grabbed her iPod off of the bedside table. She stuffed the headphones in her ears and closed her eyes. The music grew louder than the thunder, and she could relax again.
