I'm working on a book, kinda like the Maximum Ride series, and my main character has just met 2 of the other important characters. She has to meet the others, and I'm stuck (btw, she just watched her family die, and got captured by an evil corporation, and she is in a cage in a van). Any ideas?

What is your plot? If your story is very dramatic and it has loads of action, you might consider steering away from all of that for a short while and thereby give your readers a little time to think about what has happened. Yet, they are still dying to know what will happen next. Sounds like an interesting story!

If there's a lock on the cage, she could pick it...Don't listen to me, my ideas are lame.

This sounds a lot like Maximum Ride (which stank after book 1). Don't feel bad. All my on-the-run scenes sound like The Amulet of Samarkand.
