Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I don't often play a lot of video games, and the ones that I do play are mainly Japanese and incredibly strange. I'm not the kind of person who sits in front of the TV all day shooting aliens on a screen. But recently, I've become obsessed with a game called Portal, and I just wanted to let all of you know how amazing it is.

BECAUSE IT'S PRETTY ZARKING AMAZING.

Portal is a cross between a puzzle game, an action game, an adventure game, and one of the most hilarious collections of witty comments in human history. There really isn't much of a plot,  but what I can tell you without giving away anything important is that you're a test subject named Chell, and you're being guided through a series of chambers by a robot named GLaDOS. I know, it seems pretty boring, but instead of regular jump-up-to-the-platform-and-shoot-stuff-onto-a-thing kind of puzzle solving, you have to use portals to solve the tests. However, despite the sheer awesomeness of using portal technology, that's not the best part of the game. The best part is GLaDOS. I can't even begin to describe just how much I love and hate GLaDOS at the same time. Even her voice is awesome! Here are some of my favorite GLaDOS quotes (from Portal 1):

"When I said deadly neurotoxin, the deadly was in massive sarcasm quotes. I could take a bath in this stuff, put it on cereal, rub it right into my eyes. It's not deadly at all... to me."

"Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test."

"Please note that we have added a consequence for failure. Any contact
with the chamber floor will result in an unsatisfactory mark on your
official testing record, followed by death."

"You think you're doing some damage? Two plus two is... *bzzzzzzzzzzzt* ten. IN BASE FOUR! I'M FINE!!"
