If somebody ever
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
If somebody ever
If somebody ever calls you weird say "I'd hate to be normal". I mean just think how many people are really normal?

But if you think about it, almost everyone is weird in some way.

Actually Jess, I believe that everyone is weird, not almost everyone. I guarantee everyone has something that's a bit out of the ordinary about them-- whether it be a talent, personality trait, physical appearance, hobby, etc.--which could be called "weird". This is an interesting subject. :D

Well, that can't be. Because if everybody is weird, then nobody is.

Not true!
POINT ONE: If everybody is weird then weird is normalcy and, thus, being "normal" is weirder than actually being weird.
POINT TWO: Taking this into account, weirdness cannot exist on a practical level, because the very existence of individuality nullifies the concept.
POINT THREE: Therefore, people who claim that others are "weird" and/or strive to attain a level of behavioral standards which they perceive as "normal" are, in fact, suffering from delusions of conformity and pursuing a goal that is not only impossible but also nonexistent outside of their own heads.
POINT FOUR: As such, it is the solemn duty of any person who is fully aware of the incompatibility of the normal/weird scale with actual human nature to pity and/or enlighten those who still suffer the delusion that weirdness exists.
POINT FIVE: Clearly the best way to accomplish this is by overanalyzing the issue and making a list, because everyone knows that lists are cool!
POINT SIX: There is no point six. Have a cookie for sticking around, though.

That's what WritingWarrior just said, only much more complicated.

Agreed.
Someone's NaNo signature (I forgot whom) says, "Normal is just a setting on the dryer." So true, so true...

That... is exactly what I always try to tell everyone. They don't listen, either, so I'm delighted to find someone who not only shares my views but flaunts them!

Exactly.

The problem is that normalcy is extremely subjective.
