YAYAYAYAYAYAY! I just purchased (well, my parents did) a new camera... the Canon Rebel!!!!!!! I really know absolutely nothing about it but I am willing to learn! So if anyone has this camera, do you have any tips or pointers? Thanks!

Sorry I didn't see this, I've been gone for the weekend. Thanks for all the instructions and tips. :) They really do help! Especially the ISO, because I hadn't the slightest idea what it meant. I think my problem is I read the manual and learn some great things, but then forget within an hour. :D
Did you buy any extra lenses? The one it comes with doesn't zoom in very far which kinda stinks. I'm sure I'll have more questions later on, but I can't think of any right now. :P

Don't worry, it's fine!:) My camera came with an 18-55mm lens, which I'm assuming you have, and yeah, it doesn't zoom very far. I bought a 55-250mm zoom lens (by Canon), that's relatively good quality and pretty easy to focus (I think it cost around $200. I'm not sure). The only thing I don't like about it is just that it's a lot of work to change the lenses. Like, I take a couple faraway shots, then I might decide I want to take a photo of something close up, so I have to go through all the work of changing the lenses. But still, I think it's worth it. Also, I bought a fisheye attachment lens (rather than being a separate lens, it just screws onto the end of the one you're already using) by Opteka. It's really not that good of quality, and you have to have the camera zoomed out all the way for the fisheye affect to even work, but it's still pretty good considering it only cost $50. And since I'm obviously not pro, it's much better than spending several hundreds of dollars on an expensive lens.
Photography is so expensive. :/
