Did anybuggy else
Did anybuggy else watch the Royal Wedding? I recorded it (It came on at 3:00 in SoCal) so that I could fast forward to the good parts. Sooo, what did you all think about it? I love it because: 1. I reeeealy wanna go to England, so the scenic views are just spectacular, 2. This is making history, apparantly, 3. All this talk about Kate's dress is making me curious. We haven't gotten to the part where at 10:51 AM Kate will exit her hotel place and show the dress. So, anybuggy else watch it? Admins?
I saw Kate arrive at the Abbey and walk down the aisle. I recorded the whole thing but haven't watched it yet. I was watching the 2011 World Figure Skating Competition live from Moscow on the computer at the same time as the wedding. I did just look at a slide show of 100 still photos of highlights of the day. The British people really know how to dress up and celebrate!

Oh. Wow. That's all I can say. Everything was absolutely stunning. And I thought Kate's dress was perfect. I was especially glad that she stayed away from strapless. Strapless is pretty, yes. But sooo overdone.
Anyway I could rave for hours about her dress, the ceremony, and well, the wedding in general for hours. So I will just say that it was pretty darn amazing and leave it at that. Also, what did you think of all the crazy hats? Outrageous right? Oh, especially Princess Beatrice's hat (that poor girl). ;)
I agree!

I think she had to stay away from strapless. I heard that since the queen is the head of their church, you had to show respect and wear long sleeves. That must be horrible in hot weather.
Speaking of weather, does anybody know what the weather there was like?

Eh, I really don't feel like it's a big deal. If you live in that country, or if it's your family or friend's wedding, of course it is. But, I mean, I'm in the USA, so why should I waste my time watching someone else's wedding on tv? (Maybe if I were there live I'd think differently). I don't mean to offend anyone!

@R~D~: I would have to agree with you.

I do not envy those people. Good grief, would you want people the world over watching your wedding?

I agree with R~D~, Charlotte, and ZNZ.

I meant "maybe if I lived there." I messed that sentence up. :) Thanks for agreeing! :D:D:D And did you know that they have a government something like ours so the King and Queen actually don't have that much responsibility? That was just something I overheard so it might be false.

I did see some pictures of the wedding, but I didn't watch it.
It is true that the king and queen are mostly just figureheads, but their government is not like ours, at least I don't think it is.
There is one thing that makes me furious. Did you know that if a queen marries then whoever she marries won't become king, but if a king marries then whoever he marries will become queen. Does that make any sense? To me it doesn't. It is illogical and silly.

Everything was soooo beautiful! I loved her dress and Will and Kate looked so happy! Her dress was stunning and she already looked like a princess when she got there! Oh wow... Romantic! *sigh*

@Elizabeth D-- I found that out too. It's kind of weird. I feel offended for some reason! ;)

It was amazing! But the poor people probably would've wanted some privacy in their wedding! I know I would!!
