Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Hi guys!I do

Hi guys!

I don't know if anyone remembers me but last summer I used to frequent this site.  My life got crazy after the fall so I couldn't check the site or anything, but this week I remembered it and got back on.  I looked around and noticed that there seemed to be a few people impersonating me which makes me MAD.  I know that most people on this site are trustworthy but please take note of this and know that that was not me.

I hope everyone is well.  Last year I had a fun time chatting with y'all and whenever I have time I hope to come back to the site again!

Thanks,

Amy G.

Hmm...I actually haven't noticed anyone impersonating you. The only Amy G. I have taken note of is you. Welcome back!

Chances are, if someone pretended to be her on an online forum and was good at it, you wouldn't know that. We were probably fooled.

Right, but I haven't seen any Amy G.s since last summer, when she was here anyway...

Maybe she left in, say, June and someone started impersonating her immediately afterward and stopped at the end of summer?

Detc says taoe! Tao!

Question: Were you published in this month's Letterbox? And impersonating? What do you mean? Like acting as if they were you?

Well...there were only a few posts that that claimed to be written by me and weren't, and so I'm just going to forget it and hope it won't happen again.

Anyway I'm glad to be back here!  (It is rather strange to say that about a virtual space.)

Yes, Vida, I was published in the Letterbox and I saw you were too!  Actually I sent that letter in a year ago.  When did you send your letter?

It takes up to six months or longer for a letter to be published. That's how far ahead we work to allow time for the bugs to comment on the letters, design, proof, and print the pages and the rest of the magazine. Letters for the September 2011 Cricket have already been selected and gone into production.

It's okay, but I did get published.

And I read your letter and went "Whoa, what the heck is she talking about?? Wait, is that Amy G. from the CB??"

Lol, I'm glad your back!!

That is soooo cool we both got published!!

I AM SOOO GLAD YOU"RE BACK, AMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oops!  Sorry, Elizabeth. I meant you, not Vida.  Vida was published in the Letterbox and I saw her letter so I was thinking that she wrote the comment.  I'm so sorry!  Embarassed

No problem! I sent a letter in too but it won't be published for a while!

By the way I'm new, I guess you aren't but I thought I'd introduce myself.

Happy Birthday, Vida!!  I'm sorry I missed it.  Here's your present >[]

Elizabeth, nice to (virtually) meet you!  Have you always lived in Germany?  It's nice to get people from countries other that the U.S.!

I'm sooo glad it's spring break (at least where I am!) : )
