My Aero Rant!
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
My Aero Rant!
My Aero Rant! You can read this, if you think you can handle it... ;)
I am sick of Aero-wait, make that Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, and every other clothing line that puts their logos on shirts and such. Why would you want to be a walking advertisement?
Because it looks fashionable.
Really? Most of them are just solid colored shirts that say AERO in big letters stretching across the whole top.
Because all my friends wear it. And it's cool. And hip. And if I don't wear them, I won't be popular.
Well, exactly why do all your friends wear it?
I recently read a fascinating book called Get Real, which was about how to be a smart consumer. A good chunk of it focused on advertising. And guess what? It said that most of the kids who went around saying certain brands were cool had been paid by the manufacturer to get others to wear the product. (Look at that, ZNZ...maybe that's how you dominate the world!)
I'm sorry if this offends anyone, just the way I feel. Anybody agree?

Sorry, ZNZ, I'm using your age tagline. ;) It will return to normal shortly.
@Choco: A good chunk of the other information in this book was true, and there were many newspaper articles, books, and magazines mentioned in the back to give credit to where the information came from. (I believe it's called a bibliography... correct me if not.)

It might be different where you live, but where I live it doesn't matter if you wear those kinds of clothes or not. Some of the popular girls don't where those kinds of clothing, and some of the kids that are not popular where that clothing.
Also, Old Navy is not a bad store. I love the clothes there. The two shirts I just recently bought from there have place names on them like, I love Cali, and Denver Colorado.

I'm homeschooled, so I don't get a lot of pressure about like, which shirt I need to wear to fit in. And anyway, I wear AERO because I really love the way it looks.
