Hi Mariah!  It's so great to meet you!  You are going to love it here.  We are kinda crazy and weird, but so much fun!  I'm a 14 year old homeschooled Catholic girl.  I have four siblings ad I LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE to shop, too!!!  I gave up shopping for Lent, which is such a difficultly, but that's the point of Lent, so I'm willing to sacrifice.  I would call it my hobby, but that would sound pathetic.  My sister would be so jealous of you.  Her dream is to be on Broadway!  I've never been to NYC, but I have been to New York, when I lived in Ohio.  Just ask questions and I'm sure you'll figure how things work pretty quickly.  Please stay and feel free to post on whichever thread you would like!

Welcome Mariah!  Your story sounds really interesting. I don't dance or play guitar but I do like to shop and read. Most of the reading I do is re-reading. I live Houston which probably isn't as great a place to shop as New York City but it does have Rice Village which is a fun place to shop. Houston also has an outdoor theater which I go to several times in the summer to see Shakspearean plays and sometimes musicals. What plays do you like the most? I also love the Percy Jackson series and the sequel Heroes of Olympus. Have you read the first book in the series The Lost Hero? I hope you have a great time on the CB.

Hi, Mariah! I'm Olive! I do tap and ballet. I also did jazz last year. I go to a private (Christian) school and am going to a public Extended French school next year, er, this year, just next semester. 

 Oh, and I went to NYC when I was about nine. It was really fun! (but we had to drive there, which was not fun, since my parents don't trust my brother to be "good" on a plane) I remember going to the Trump tower and expecting to see Donald Trump (I didn't have that much common sense back then, I still have a bit below average sense right now) :P.

That's what I want to do when I grow up. It'll be hard, but God will take care of me.  I'm a reformed Presbyterian.

I don't play the guitar, but I've been playing the piano ever since I was six.  I also love to sing.  It's my passion. 

I'm homeschooled and the oldest of six.  The youngesst, Simon, is fifteen months old.  He is so cute!  I take four dance classes and one musical theatre class. They are all in the same studio and this year, besides the Annual Dance Recital (we're dancing = Cities of the World!) we're  also doing Beauty and The Beast Jr. for our annual musical.  We do one every year.  Last year it was Thouroughly Modern Millie.  I worked backstage on that one, though I prefer to be the star! 

My four dance classes are all beginner classes because I just started in September!  I take Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Lyrical/Modern (my favorite!)

I Love the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series!!!  Do you like mysteries?

Hi!!! My name's Mattie, but I'm thinking of changing it to either Ifan Belaurin or DaughterOfFeanor.  (That's another story.)  I am obsessed with anything by JRR Tolkien, especially the Silmarillion.  I am twelve years old, homeschooled, Catholic, born and raised in the South....and do you agree that Orlando Bloom is the hottest guy around????  Anyway, I think it's awesome that you're from NYC.  I'm a country girl myself, but I've always wanted to go there.  Anyhoozle, have fun at the CB!!!!

Hey Mariah! Welcome to the Chatterbox. :) I'm Kimberly, but quite a few buggies on here call me Kimmie. I went to NYC last summer--such a cool city! So much to see and do and explore. :) I play the guitar too, I love music. I also love to write, sing, take photos and travel. Musicals are so fantastic! What are some of your favorites?
