Well. Today is my one-year anniversary of being on the Chatterbox. I'm surprised; it seems like so much longer.

 

I've gotten to know so many different people who come from all different places, from Wyoming to Haiti to Germany. We've laughed at each other's jokes, read each other's stories, cried on each other's shoulders. I know my way around the Chatterbox like an old pro, even though I've had to ask for help many a time over this year.

 

Has it really only been a year? Was it really just last February 12th that I came here, barely out of being eleven, to a world I knew nothing about? Maybe a few of you saw two posts from someone called Mary T.; that was me.

 

A lot can happen in a year. One can make new friends, only to have them suddenly slip away without warning. One can find out about stories that make you laugh, stories that make you cry, stories that make you think. Movies, cell phones, practical jokes to play on April Fool's Day--you name it, at one point or another, we've talked about it at great length and with lots of belly laughs.

 

To everyone who's on the CB now, and those who were but aren't now, I send a huge shout-out, lots of hugs, and a virtual gift of your choice. You're all awesome and I'm so happy to be part of this great community of friends. :) Thanks for the good times I've had over this year, guys.

P.P.S Sorry I haven't been on! Writing spree--you know how it is--when you start a new story, you get obsessed with it, and it turns into the only reason you get on the computer at all... I'll try to be on more often.

Aw!  We love you Wolfgirl!  I'm so extremely glad you joined; the Chatterbox wouldn't be the same without you. :)  I can't believe it's been this long either!  It's been nearly two years for me (or maybe three.... I'm always getting my facts confused!) and it seems like I've been on here my whole life-- like this is just a part of me!  Thanks for sharing. :P

Hey Worlgirl!  Wow, your one-year anniversary!  Pretty crazy, huh?  I know, it really does seem longer.  We've all really, really enjoyed having you here, and I know we all appreciate your kind words.  Thanks for being a great Chatterbox contributor and adding to the crazy insanity of our world. :)

Happy belated anniversary! I completely agree with you; I feel the same way. My 2-year anniversary's in April (so yes, R~D~, you've been here almost 2 years, not 3; we came at around the same time), though I don't know exactly when, but it feels like I've been here 3 or even 4 years. Mind you, I'm terrible at time estimation, but still. I was actually extremely immature then, if my old posts are anything to go by... I'm very glad I changed. The CB has had a huge effect on me; I really don't know what I'd do without it.

WolfGirl, thanks for making me smile! :) What you wrote is so awesome,
I know just what you mean-it seems like CB has been around for years
and years! It will be my 3 year anniversary in September (it will also
be the CB's 3 years anniversary, since I went on right when it opened)
and I can't believe it. I've made so many amazing friends and so
many amazing memories since I first came on here! :) Hope you post more
often, thanks again for the great thread! *hugs* (Oh, and thanks for
the virtual gift ;))

@Everybody: Thanks, all, for the great comments! And yes, I realize I haven't been on since February 12. *facepalmheaddesk* I try and keep the crazy insanity under control so the Admins don't have to call the asylum. ;) (It's not working! Send reinforcements!)

 

Anyway, just wanted to say thank you again, and I'm looking forward to another great year!
