Where does everybuggy
Where does everybuggy want to live when they grow up?
I've been meaning to make a thread on this for a long time, so here it is. I currently live in Georgia and one of the only reasons I think Georgia is awesome is because there is hardly ever any harsh weather. Ack, I'm so glad I'm not in the middle of that blizzard that's sweeping through the country. Anyway, the South is not for me. I'm a Northerner through and through, so that's where I'm living someday. Not exactly sure which state, but I come from the north, so to the north I will return. :) Though London would be lovely too. :D :D So, what about you???
Great topic, Mary Jo!

I've always wanted to see Paris, but I don't know if I would want to live there. Perhaps somewhere in Colorado, New Mexico, or New York City. Or Chicago. I could live either in a big city or a small scenic town. I live in a suburb in Missouri, which is fine, but I cannot see myself living in one once the choice is mine. I'll end up wherever home is, I guess, which is where friends and people I care about are.

I've always said Maine... but that's simply when I want to get as far away from my family as possible while still living in the USA. :) I don't think I could ever bare being that far away, though. I would like to move somewhere warm like CA, but, then, I do enjoy the weather here, only sometimes, though, like right now. It's kinda cold, so I need a sweatshirt and jeans, but nothing else. That's the perfect weather to me-- not unbearably cold, but I can still wear my comfy sweatshirt and stay warm! :) So, to answer your question, I don't know!

My List: Venice, Paris... Massachusetts....

I don't know where I'd want to live. I'm in Texas right now, and I know I I don't want to stay here. I'd like to live somewhere where it actually snows in the winter, but other than that, I'm not sure. I don't want to live in an area with too many people, though, either... Oh, and it would have to be near a coast, because I love the beach, but preferably not on it, because then there are never any restaurants nearby that serve anything except seafood, and I'm vegan and like restaurants, so that would be something of a disadvantage.

I've lived in IL all my life, never moving from this town... Hmmm... I like it here. I would love to move closer to my friends (about an hour away), but I would be content with staying in Alton. I'm close to my familily here. Possibly I could move to Springfield, or Chicago... Somewhere with a lot of snow in the winter, and hot summers. Which is pretty much where I live now. xD
I was going to say Venice or London, but those are places I would like to visit for a while, not live in. :)

Somewhere slightly warmer than where I am now (It's been a high of about 2º here lately) but preferably not more than a day's drive from the rest of my family/parents.

I'm not sure where I'd like to live, but I like warm summers, and moderate winters. (Snow and some cold weather but not unbearable like it sometimes is...) I'd also like to live in a small town, because I absolutely love the way the town works together. Also it's generally safer, and it's nice to know people in your town too. :)

I agree! Illinois is a nice place!! I like Chicago but I don't think I'd live there.. :)

New York City. Manhattan, for preference. In a tiny, cluttered little apartment with minimal furniture and lots of books. And a piano, or a keyboard at the very least. Preferably with roof access. Mmm, and filing cabinets! Old wooden filing cabinets!
(Because, you know, it barely took three hours for me to fall in love with NYC, trashbags piled in the streets notwithstanding. Best. City. Ever.)
((and not just because it's where Broadway is.))
(((...though that is a part of it, I will admit.)))
((((Also not just because it reminds me of a modernized Ankh-Morpork, though that is a plus))))
Mostly because, while I was there, my thoughts mainly alternated between ohohBernadettePeters!! and ohohwhydon'tIlivehere?!
The entire time. And then for a while afterwards.
Yeah.
/rambling.

I guess I would also like to live (in my slightly warmer place) in a medium-sized town within fairly close driving distance to a largish city. Think St. Louis or somewhere with good art museums and theaters.

A "tiny, cluttered little apartment with minimal furniture and lots of books" sounds lovely.
Also, "modernised version of Ankh-Morpork"? O_O

What a fantastic topic MJ! :) Wow though, that's a hard question...well, I'm pretty sure I'll stay here in the USA. I'd really like to live somewhere with lots of nature and land that doesn't require too much yardwork. I also really love the west, so a western/mid-western state is highly possible. :)

I live in the country, and while I'm planning on attending college in Iowa at ISU, I think I'll probably end up coming back to Nebraska and live somewhere around Crofton, which is the town I've always wanted to go to school in. I love the atmosphere there. I know thats only about a ten-mile move from where I am now, but I like where I am. I do intend to travel around Europe, though. (Germany, Austria, Spain, UK, etc, etc)

I kind of like the place where I am now... I feel I need to explore though. I don't think I'd live in a really exotic place though. Question: What is the most exotic place you'd live in? I think I'd live in New Zealand...
