Has anyone on here ever done this? This is my first year, and I don't really know much about it. I made it to the Chapter Competition, and the contest is on Saturday. We had to take a test in school to qualify, and I did the best in the class, and as well as the top 8th grader. (which doesn't make sense, since I'm not the greatest in math and I go in early at least twice a week for help on my assignments)
Anyway, has anyone ever heard of this???

Our school has a math counts program that I was supposed to join (all of the gifted students are supposed to join but I didn't know), but oh well because I'm not really wanting to join that. I'm good at math. I just don't think Id be able to do an extra hour every week. :P That just shows how lazy I am! :))))))

Wow. Your school seems to take it more seriously than mine. I didn't find out about Math Counts until Monday! I haven't seen you on here for a while, Phillis. Good to have you back!

Thanks! I know I haven't been on that much recently because I've been really busy with school, swimming, basketball, and on top of that I just got over a really bad cold. Anyway, I guess my school does take Math Counts seriously because you can only be in it if you pass this major test that they take at the first meeting, which of course I didn't go to. :P

We had to take a test, too. Yesterday at the competition, there were some problems that seemed impossible to do! Our team didn't place, but individually I ranked 22nd.

Oh that stinks that your team didn't rank but at least you got 22nd! How many people were competing? I'm guessing it was a lot so 22nd is probably really good. :) Good luck in future competitions!
