Happy New Year!  (I got to celebrate it before most of you!)  Small town Gorham had events going on all over the town (Portland didn't even do it this year!).  We watched these funny, old men who had no idea how to play their intruments, try to play jazz together.  It was really funny!  We watched a professional yo-yo person, who ranks number 16 in the entire US. :D Err, umm, I mean ------------O   (It's a yo-yo!) Gorham even had a ball drop (it was a few hula-hoops wrapped in aluminum foil, hung by a firetruck's ladder). :)D)D)D The temperature was in the negative numbers, so I had many, many cups of hot chocolate (without cream).  It was still fun, though. :D:D:D  Zoe, what did you do?

If you guys have seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail, you would get this!!!! When it was 12:00, we went yayyyyy kind of like on Monty Python and the Holy Grail, where they go, "And there was much rejoicing, yayyyyyy..." We played clue! it was fun!!!!!

There was nothing nearly as exciting here in Standish. I watched the ball drop on TV.

Two years ago when I went to a show called Phizgig a guy that was some friend of my parents told us that one of his traditions was to jump into the new year. So this year my dad, mybrother, and I each jumped off a piece of furniture. I was sent to bed right after midnight. Frown

We didn't do anything special here - just played a board game - but there were fireworks. I can just imagine my *cough, cough* "friend" a few blocks away, roasting marshmallows over an open fire... WITH HIS FAMILY... *lip trembles*
