Welcome, Elizabeth! I've seen a lot of your other posts. That's so cool that you live in Germany....I'm sure someone's already asked this, but were you born there? And do you speak in German as well as English? I have a friend who lives in Holland and can speak fluently in Dutch. (that's the language, right?)

Yeah, Mary Jo also goes by MJ. :) I'm so glad you are joining the CB! More people are always welcome because as you see, CB is somewhat dying and I can't stand it! But I can't think of any good threads... I would want to do a debate on cellphone under the age of fourteen, but that could get offensive since there are younger people on here, so I don't know!

Speaking as someone under 13 with a cell phone, I would not personally be offended. I'm just one person, though, and anyway, my circumstances are different; I have a feeling that even someone who doesn't think underr-thirteens should have a cell phone might possibly make an exception, because the reason for my having one has nothing to do with what I want... Of course, I could be wrong.

Ima, I completely understand your type of circumstances. It's more like eight-year-olds with cellphones for absolutely no reason at all, because, as I've said before, they don't go anywhere without a guardian/parent watching them, so there's no use for a cellphone. Having a cellphone for safety reasons (which is why I have one) makes sense. Would anyone mind if I made a thread on this debate? Admins? I'll try not to be harsh! :)

Think of it like: There's a store. And hardly anyone goes into it at all. So the store runs out of business and has to close down. The CB is like the store. Except (THANKFULLY!) it doesn't just close down. :) I think it's because of school and winter and such. Hopefully towards spring, or when kids are on break, we'll get some more posts! You see, you just joined, but there was a time when most of the threads last post was an hour ago, not two days ago, like most of them say now. Where people were constantly posting. But, Elizabeth M, I'm so glad you joined. =D You're making great threads and posting alot, and that's what helps the CB become more lively.

Yeah, there are a bunch of newbies coming on. That's a good thing, I think that it was almost dieing, so it's good that more people will be posting. I guess that we might have to post our descriptions too, so I'll just do mine.

Welcome, welcome, welcome, Elizabeth!! We are really loving newcomers now, with everyone leaving and the CB sort of dying, so thanks for joining! I am Leaf, found most of the time swinging on my tree (though I do play violin and piano, read, write, sing, etc.) I seem to share a few of your 'favorites,' such as Harry Potter (though most everyone loves HP around here) and the Little House books (went on a cross-country road trip two years ago and listened to all of them as audiobooks, then went and saw all the sights, such as Laura and Almanzo's house in Mansfield, MO and the little house on the prairie in Kansas, then and on the road trip just this last summer). Your hobbies are also very similar to mine! :) It's so exciting to get someone here from Germany; I believe there are a few people here from other countries (mostly Canada, if I'm not mistaken) but you're the first from Germany! Again, as if I couldn't say it enough, welcome!!
