Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Wow. i just

Wow. i just noticed that I spend so much time on Chatterbox, that I rarely go anywhere else on this website.  And by rarely, I mean never.

So yeah, I don't really know why I am posting this. I guess I was bored, plus I just noticed this...Um...Yeah...I guess I should just post this and go somewhere else before I say something completly useless and time-wasting.

Meh, CB's the only part worth visiting anyway. Except for CriReaRec, which is deader than... something very dead. (I fail at metaphor.)

@ ZNZ,

I am failing to understand what CriReaRec stands for.....

I think that the first two parts stand for Cricket Reading....Or perhaps not, I dunno.

=] [:

I am not very good for understanding abbreviations....especially in CB {that I understand is ChatterBox}.....I know ones like CaC, BaB, DtE, and so on, and normally can figure out them eventually...but I am just being lazy today...

Oh well....

Yes, Cricket Readers Recommend. I think it was here in the dark ages before CB, and CB came along and made it redundant.

Deader than someone who gets on the wrong side of Voldy. XD I win.

I agree with ZNZ, CB is the only good one (That I know of, I haven't seen all of them yet.)

I completely forgot that there was anything other than Chatterbox on this website. :) I remember when CriReaRec used to be a *gasp* well attended place. Haha, like 2 years ago.

Spamboy says "acid." Wow!!!! A real word!!!

CriReaRec was dead, to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that.

Old CriReaRec was dead as a door-nail.

Mind! I don't mean to say that I know, of my own knowledge, what there is particularly dead about a door-nail. I might have been inclined, myself, to regard a coffin-nail as the deadest piece of ironmongery in the trade. But the wisdom of our ancestors is in the simile; and my unhallowed hands shall not disturb it, or the country's done for. You will therefore permit me to repeat, emphatically, that CriReaRec was dead as a door-nail.

We knew he was dead? Of course we did. How could it be otherwise? Many of us were many of its users for I don't know how many years. We were its sole executioners, our administrators its sole administrators, we its sole reading assigns (though perhaps the word 'assign' is slight exaggeration...), its sole RL, its sole friends, and sole mourners.

The webmaster or whoever is in charge of such things never took CriReRec away. There it stands, years afterwards in Old Cricket's Library: Cricket Readers Recommend. But there is no doubt that it is dead.

That's a modified version of some of a passage from A Christmas Carol. My mind just immediately jumped to it when you started talking about things CRR was as dead as, and I just had to write it for some reason. I don't know why...

I went everywhere other than the CB already. There really isn't much that you'd want to do twice. I mean, look at Meet Everybuggy. It's very good for getting to actually know who Everybuggy even is if you're a new subscriber to Cricket--and I went to this website the moment I first subscribed. You wouldn't really want to watch it again, though., or listen to the audio files of stories--though good argument could be made for wanting to read The Star Shard multiple times, if you don't own the issues that contain it. What's New and Contests change with each issue, of course, but I don't get Cricket anymore, so they're of little use to me. Everything else just isn't worth spending much time at, except for CriReaRec, and that's dead. The CB is wonderful, though, so of course I come very often...

...You win. You win so much, and on so many levels. There are no adequate words to express how awesome that was. If I weren't worried about getting strange diseases I might kiss your feet. Except not, because that would be weird. I award you many virtual brownies, at any rate. My brother actually came into my room to make sure I was all right because of how much I was laughing. (He didn't get it.)
