Cross Country!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Cross Country!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cross Country!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone on here besides me run it????????? Our season just ended and at our meets I got 3rd, 4th ( I got sick) 12th, (I got even sicker) and 3rd. I was going to run another meet, but I've decided not to because I am already out of shape. So anyone else one of the few runners??? We hosted a meet yesterday. They didn't have a junior high division, so I was just a supporter. My brothers and my sister did great considering the competition. In the girls my sister Sam (fakename) got 29th. They only medaled to 25. There were 92 girls!!!!! In the boys my brothers placed 2nd, 14th, and somewhere in the 60s. There were a lot of boys, too. I have 2 other brothers, but they're both injured but will run this week so we'll have a team + 1 for districts. I consider all of the runners my siblings, because there aren't that many where I live. I'm also friends with one of my XC brother's sister, so he was pretty much my brother anyway.  Football and Volleyball are really big here, and most don't consider XC a real sport. (This makes me want to EXPLODE.)

Anyone can run 100 meters. It's the other 4,900 that matter.

Go Bees!!!

Wow, that's so awesome of your brothers, Clair.  Olive, I totally understand.  I'm normally in the back!!  I found out that I got 109th place out of 151.  Well, that's good for me... but it's not that good. I had a personal best time, 26:23 minutes for a 5k.  Yup.

Congratsi for your brothers, Clair!

5k, wow... I feel slow. :-P Our Cross Country season ended too. I feel so sad.

Agh, don't feel slow.  You could definitely run one.  It may sound long but you probably run more than three miles at your practices sometimes, right?  That's what my coach said to encourage me, because, at practices, we typically run 30 minutes to an hour, and both of those times are longer than a 5k for me.  Next year, at high school (will you be in high school next year??  Forgot your age.) you'll probably have to run that much, although I don't know the rules and regulations in different states/countries.  Yes, our season ends TODAY.  Today we are going to run a mile around the track, trying to make our fastest mile time. Yeah, I'll be very sad!!

Yeah, I feel pretty slow, too! 1600 meters doesn't seem like much anymore................

R~D~: I'm twelve. ;-)

I want right now to be track and field season so I don't feel all pooped out for the 1500m. Before I did Cross Country, after each 1500m run I'd feel like collapsing. Now, 1500m makes me happy. :-P
