Chatterbox: Down to Earth
I'm entering 6th
I'm entering 6th grade this year. I'll be at a new school that I can walk to. None of my really good buddies are going to be there though. The school district here really must get their act together. I signed up for band but they didn't put band in my schedule. We were never asked which exploratories we wanted to take, and they put me in choir, which I really don't want to do. I have advanced 6th-grade language arts, advanced world geography, Pre- algebra, and advanced Earth science. The advanced classes are a good thing but since I received a 256 on my 6+ map test I should be doing algebra! I have to share a locker with somebody, and I can't do sports for the school because I'm not in 7th or 8th grade. The first day of school is entirely devoted to orientation, and lunch is before 11:30 AM. School ends at 2:45 PM which stinks, and I can't do any clubs until 7th grade. I hope none of you have endure the torture and anger that I have for the city of Richland right now.

I'm really sorry you have to do all that. I didn't enjoy 6th grade either, but at least I'd been able to choose my electives, and I was allowed to be in clubs (though I wasn't, and not being allowed into sports didn't bother me as I didn't like them, and I didn't have to share a locker. It must be horrible. I hope it's better than you expect, though that sounds unlikely.

I have a pretty decent school. I'm in sixth grade right now. I go to a private shcool, so I get some perks, but I've seen better schools. I get two lockers, I can do sports, and choose my electives, though I've still seen better. Right now we're forced to do this elective that they're trying out and we are divided into teams and we have to do these weird competitions. I'm trying to get into a new school and the principle has to send in some of my files from a few years ago; she said she did, but she didn't. My mom is really mad.
