So, you know
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
So, you know
So, you know how I had said on the "Babysitting" thread that I had gotten sneezed on by a toddler? Well, guess what. Now I'm sick. My throat feels swollen, I feel achy (though, that could be from dancing from yesturday) and I feel weak.
Both my sisters have aching throats, too, but we went to Church anyway. I learned today that warm brown sugar and cinnamon poptarts make a sore throat feel better. So does squeezed lemon in water. It kind of numbs your throat, but all that lemon isn't good for my vocal chords for singing. So since my singing lessons are tommorrow, I might just have to do piano unless I'm feeling really bad. Oh yeah, and I have an orthodontist appointment tommorow too! I've gotten sick a whole lot in my life, but every time I do get sick, it feels worse than the times before. but on the bright side, we're having German tonight!! But the down side to that is, we were going to invite some friends to eat German with us, but since more than half my family is sick, they probably won't be able to come.

I'm sorry you're sick. I hope you haven't somehow caught my illness over the Internet? Because I'm sick, too, and that sounds oddly like mine, except milder.
I have nausea, and my shoulders ache, and my neck hurts, and my throat also feels swollen (though it's been checked several times and seemed perfectly normal, oddly enough. We're going to talk to a doctor who specializes in these things soon; maybe he/she--I don't really know--will have some information), and much of that (like aching shoulders) would be trivial if it hadn't been going on nonstop since mid-May. Luckily it isn't contagious, so I didn't have to miss the entire last few weeks of school, because that would certainly complicate things. And no one even has any real idea of what I have. It's quite frustrating, especially since those are only the nonstop symptoms. I keep getting extremely cold at random times, even when it's a hot summer day and the air conditioning is malfunctioning and everyone else is complaining loudly of how incredibly hot it is. I've been wearing winter clothes to bed with 2 blankets, actually, because I'm afraid it'll happen in the night. Normally, I could never stand that in summer, and certainly wouldn't wear blankets. Yet I'm almost never actually hot, which is just scary. Or I'll get a strange tingling sensation in my arms sometimes. Back towards the beginning, there'd be moments when the front of my head would tingle, too, and I'd somehow find it hard to focus on things, although that's gone, fortunately. Maybe it's a sign, though, that I really do need to see a neurologist about this like someone suggested? We weren't thinking about this when we decided not to... Aargh, this is confusing. And irritating. And then there are the things like exima that we don't even know are symptoms, but might be, because they weren't there before, so we have to tell the doctors anyway, which just eats up time. *sigh*
It's too bad you've become sick, too. Well, I hope you get better in much less time than it's taking me... I'll have to try the brown sugar. Thanks for that. Not that you meant it as a suggestion... But still.
Good luck with this, Ima. Being sick is no fun, especially when you don't know what's wrong! -Admin

@Ima: Your shoulders have been hurting since mid-May? That's awful! You never complained about any of this on here before even though it's been going on since mid-May, and here I am now complaining about a simple cold that will go away in probably a week or so. Now I feel like a wimp.
I've been feeling jittery since I woke up, and whenever I would stand up, I felt like I was going to fall over, but my Mama still made me go to the orthodontist, and I was so out of it that whenever they would ask me a question, I would answer with something stupid because my mind would hardly function. And I was sweating like crazy when I got up out of the chair because I had worn a button-up sweater on a mid-90 degree weather day in hope of burning out the germ, and I think it sort of worked because now I don't have a fever and I'm not jittery! Is exema the bumpy stuff that some people get on their upper arms? Oh, and I meant brown sugar and cinnamon poptarts as one thing, not brown sugar as a separate thing.
A spoonful of peanut butter helps with a sore throat, as well. So does spreadable cheese. I think it's because they both sort of coat the throat. And Sambucal medicine is supposed to prevent you from getting colds and stuff. It's chock-full of elderberries and looks like molasses when you pour it out. And my Mama made me take this nasty tasting electric blue night-time Tylenol medicine, but it does work... sort of. Well, I mean, it works better than any other medicine I've ever taken for a cold.
Hope you get well soon, Ima!
@Kimberly: You're so sweet. Thank you!

Thanks! I suppose I haven't talked much about it because it hasn't actually prevented me from doing anything (except in mid-May before I actually knew whether it was contagious or not), and I don't talk overly much about what happens to me (I seem to prefer to think about what I can't see right in front of me, for some reason.) except for extremely important events like getting to homeschool (YAY!), etc... And yes, exima is what you think it is. It's extremely not particularly bad, but I've never had any before, and it's strange.

Sorry Hannah, I hope you all feel better really soon! :) *hugs*
(Gives a large amount of cinnamon poptarts, some tea packets, some chicken soup, and a get-well-soon card.)

I hope everbuggy is feeling better! :)

I feel great! Except for the slight twinge in my stomach every now and then, and my nose sometimes still gets stuffy and runny. I took a shower this morning and I feel amazing. I hope everybuggy else does, too!
This is random, but I watched two "That So Raven"s, (I love that show!) and a show on Naopoleon on the History channel. It was really interesting. It was saying that he died either from being poisoned by arsenic, or from stomach cancer. I don't know which one I believe, but the arsenic one was more interesting, in my opinion.
