People were talking
People were talking about having a section for advice and stuff, so I'll make one. I don't need advice, but I have a small prayer request. My adorable, blue, sweet parakeet may be dying. :(:(:( He's only two years old, so we don't know why. We're trying to get the vet to come, so please pray that the vet will figure out what's wrong with him, and will be able to heal him. Thanks! :D

I hope he gets better! No advice on what to do. Just be glad he's not dying from being bitten at the neck by a dog!

The vet came and diagnosed him with cancer. They can't do anything. She offered to bring him to the vet's office and put him to sleep, but I just couldn't bear it. Right now, he's lying on the bottom of the cage. Waiting to die. :(

12:34 was the last minute of his life. He was spazing out on the cage floor, so I went in to pet him. A minute after I took my hand out, he stretched a collapsed. His girlfriend can't figure out what happened. Why did he have to die at only two years of age?!?

I'm so sorry!!! I wasn't on over the whole Christmas break, either, so I wasn't able to pray for him until it was too late. Once my sister's hamster named Tucker died. And a man at our church died from cancer. And I used to see him all the time. Hard to believe.

Awww... Thanks, Emily!! You're such a great friend! :)

I hate cancer. My Grandma had it twice, and died from it. A woman at my church has it. One of my mom's friends died from it. And now my sweetheart. Why?!

I'm really, REALLY sorry. That is so sad. I can't say I know how you feel. But I've heard that it is good to mourn. Just also remember the good times. Christmas is right around the corner and things can only get better. Plus all of these sad experiences make you a stronger better person. I hope this helps. Once again I'm sorry.

I feel so sorry for you!!! The only person in my family that died is my great-grandfather, when I was 7. I wasn't sad when he died because we weren't very close. Now I think my great-grandmother is dying, but I'm not very close with her, either. Anyway, she's 91. And my great-uncle... *drones on and on and on*

Well, that's just too bad! I'm very sorry about what happened, I hope you can feel better about it! It's just soooooo... SAD! It's even sadder that he was two years old, that's so young! I never had a pet; actually I did... once. It was a goldfish, but it died after two days, or something like that. I forgot about him though, and I was so young then, too; it's just sad when animals that you love with all your heart die. My cousin's dog was put to sleep this summer; we all felt so bad. It was the best dog ever; she never barked or anything, and she was soooo calm. But she was old. Really old. It's hard when pets die, but maybe you'll get a new pet, and be happy again!

We had to put one of our cats to sleep over the summer...Mickey. He was the fattest, sweetest cat in all the world, and I can't really remember ever not having him around (we got him when I was 4) -- except now, of course.
About cancer--I wrote a really good poem about it, and hope to win an award for it. My dad is a poetry judge at the homeschool thing we have every Feb/March (not my judge, though), and he says it is really good, so it must be. If anyone wants to see it, just ask... I'll post it readily.

Yeah! I'd like to hear it! My cat ran away a few weeks ago... *sniffles*

I'm so sorry about your cat! :(:(:( The vet offered to put Beebsy down, but I just didn't want her to. :(:( We had my gerbil put down a long time ago... :(:( My brother's best buddy's cat (who was the sweetest thing I've ever seen; her name was Stubs, because her tail was a stub! She would jump into your arms, and would stay there as long as you let her!) got hit by a car. :(:(:(:(
I'd like to see your poem!!! Fortuanatly, there's no other Iowans here (except for Dania P. AHEM!!!!), so nobuggy will steal it and use it in the contest! :D:D:D

Thanks everybuggy!!! With every death, there are some bright sides. Buddy, my sweet girly bird, will now (hopefully) learn to adapt and trust me, so she'll come out of the cage. :) That will be what I've always wanted. :):) And, I slept over at my friend's house, and she became a Christian!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D And the two other girls who were there, rededicated their lives to God!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D (And we helped them realize that Ouija boards are satanic!)

Poor B.B. Small pets can be fragile. My friend had a mouse that died that way. And it was my favorite mouse, Mini-Q...
It's sad, because as I was scrolling down your post, I saw you asking for prayers, and I thought "Please, God, Help Paige P's Parakeet," but then he had already died.
And why do you think ouija boards are satanic? Not that I've ever played, mind you!
(December 27, 2008 - 8:38 pm)
Poor Mini Q... :(:( It's nice to know you were going to pray! :) Ouija boards are satanic. Do you know how they work? Everybuggy puts their hands on the board, closes their eyes, and asks the "spirits" questions. The thing is, it works. They answer. People have been possessed by demons while playing. Fortunately, I don't usually play the games with my friends. I film, so they got that game out. My BFF (who's the strongest Christian out of the three) got scared, but did it anyway. Afterwards, she couldn't recite the Lord's prayer, the first scripture verse she memorized. She almost started crying, which scared the other girls. We locked the board up and hid it. Then we sat in a circle and took turns praying. Each rededicated her life to the Lord, and Nikki became a Christian! We had immediate comfort, knowing that the powerful Lord who created us was there to protect us, no matter what! I told my youth pastor, and she decided to have a sleepover at her house with the four of us! I'll be there tomorrow night! :D
