Dying Threads!!
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Dying Threads!!
Dying Threads!!
Probably nobody on the CB has ever thought about or even considered the dying threads issue!!
Dying threads are not good for the CB!! That is why I have made this thread!!! Dying threads aren't good also, because they take up too many slots!!
The reason they are bad is because when CBers try to comment on a thread that has been dead for weeks, even months, they get mad because nobody bothers to read or reply!!! So CBers get mad and may not want to go back on that forum!!!! Trust me I know this because I have experienced this and probably a lot of other CBers too!!
Some may think this is trivial but it really isn't!! It is kinda (not really) serious!! So to keep new threads alive and running we all need to comment!! And I know that each CBer is only one person, but together we can make a difference!!!
I understand if some CBers disagree with me because they want to be in Warrior Clan threads but they are not nessisarily dead!!! They are just old!!!!
Please feel free to comment, but also please fill out the questionaire!!!!!
1.) Do you think this matter should be addressed more carefully?
2.) Do you think this a trivial matter?
3.) Do you agree with the statements?
4.) Are you apart of a Warrior Clan?
5.) Will you try to help new threads?

My opinions are in bold.
1.) Do you think this matter should be addressed more carefully? Yes, definitely.
2.) Do you think this a trivial matter? No...
3.) Do you agree with the statements? Some of them... Well, I'm not really sure and I'm a bit confused. I'll show you some of your comment and my reaction to it (please don't be offended or anything; no rudeness whatsoever is intended *realizes that she just accidentally sort of almost rhymed*, even if I don't agree on everything):
Probably nobody on the CB has ever thought about or even considered the dying threads issue!! Actually, they have. If we decide we want to post on a thread that no-one else posts on anymore, they generally comment and then bring it to the top so that others can see it. Actually, somepeople put a lot of effort into reviving dead threads; see the Dead Thread Revival Agency on Inkwell.
Dying threads are not good for the CB!! That is why I have made this thread!!! Dying threads aren't good also, because they take up too manyslots!!
The reason they are bad is because when CBers try to comment on a threadthat has been dead for weeks, even months, they get mad because nobody bothers to read or reply!!! So CBers get mad and may not want to go backon that forum!!!! Trust me I know this because I have experienced this and probably a lot of other CBers too!! Um, really? Because, well, we can't see everything. Please don't be angry; we have no way of knowing when you post on dying threads. Maybe if you want us to see it you could post an extra comment so it goes to the front page.
Some may think this is trivial but it really isn't!! It is kinda (not really) serious!! So to keep new threads alive and running we all need to comment!! And I know that each CBer is only one person, but together we can make a difference!!! Wait, you mean comment on everything? But... we don't really have time to check every single post here. When a thread dies, it's generally because people run out of things to say. You can't expect us to keep checking them all, can you?
I understand if some CBers disagree with me because they want to be in Warrior Clan threads but they are not nessisarily dead!!! They are just old!!!! Some are dead, though. You just can't find them until you go back a few pages. However, I know what you mean; look at LakeClan. It's over a year old, but it's perfectly alive.
However, I may be entirely confused about what you mean here by 'dying threads,' as stated below. If so, please tell me. This could just be a misunderstanding, and I could actually agree with you.
4.) Are you a part of a Warrior Clan? Yes.
5.) Will you try to help new threads? This is where I start wondering whether I missed something in your post. up until now, I thought you were talking about those old threads that died long ago because people ran out of things to say. Now I'm wondering of you actually meant new threads that just fall to the back and never return. In that case, never mind. Completely forget everything I said, because I definitely agree. We (and I include myself in 'we') need to start paying more attention to the last page!

No no Ima!! I was talking about old threads that died!! Then I started talking about new threads! The reason I started talking about new threads is because a thread has to be new before it dies!! So if you help a new thread that thread has less chance to die quickly!!! If you have anymore questions just ask!! I'll be happy to answer!!!Oh and keep commenting on this thread so it will be at the top and more people will see it!!!!!

Oh, I see! Oh. Well, I do agree.
(July 20, 2010 - 6:24 pm)
Top! I certainly don't want this thread to die already!

On behalf of my coworkers at DTRA, I would like to thank Ima for making a note of our business at Inkwell. Who knows, maybe we'll set up one on every section here!
Anyways, the thread issue does need to be taken care of. That's why every day I go "Thread Skimming" to sift through threads by alphabetical order, last commented on, etc. We are also creating "Thread Revival Day" on August 6th. Participants revive threads at the bottom of each section!

Oh and CJ I joined your club!!!

I agree, it does get rather annoying when threads you like/make die out. I don't think that it would make me leave CB though! Ill help out by posting on recent threads that are on end pages, but we probably can't revive all of them-there are so many, they would probably fill 2 pages, and we always are needing room for the daily new posts by everybuggy! :)
1.) Do you think this matter should be addressed more carefully? Yeah, I guess. If people checked the end pages of sections and commented on threads more often, we would have even more fun subjects to chat about. :)
2.) Do you think this a trivial matter? No, not really.
3.) Do you agree with the statements? Sure! :)
4.) Are you apart of a Warrior Clan? Nope! (Just wondering, what does that have to do with the dying threads subject? :) )
5.) Will you try to help new threads? Yes! :):):)

Oh umm... well if you are apart of a Warrior Clan thread then you might not agree with me because the Admins have banned making more Warrior Clans!! They are really old and most of them have died but people still comment on them!! I put it on there because if you have a question about old Warrior clan threads!!!
(July 22, 2010 - 1:20 pm)
But it seems to me that someone in a Warriors Clan would be more likely to agree with you—aren't they already doing exactly what you suggested? Okay, they're not dead. However, many of them were, once. They just... came back, many of them before you started posting. As far as I know, the only one that's never been dead is LakeClan, hence the extremely large number of comments. But since no new Clans can be made anymore, the Clan threads have just... stopped dying. Because if they died and weren't resurrected, they couldn't do Warriors RPs at all anymore, and clearly they want to (hence more Clans than TM has threads, probably).

Ooooh, OK, thanks! :)

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As the maker of this thread, a dying threads thread, I shall not and will not let this thread die already when I just posted it a llittle over a weeek ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(July 28, 2010 - 1:37 pm)
To The Top!!!! :D
(July 28, 2010 - 5:58 pm)
Thanks!!!

I think that one way to keep threads from dying so much, is before you make a new thread, put the list in alphabetical order, (click on subject) and search the list to see if there's already one on the topic. Nine times out of ten, there is. This would be more convenient with a search engine, but searching alphabetically is going to have to do.
On the same note, I wish people wouldn't start threads with 's. They make it so no one can see what the thread is about. Although actually I think that what we need is a title space for threads on DtE like they have on Blab about Books.
