I'm now 12! Well, I'm not technically 12 until 6:22 PM (Central time, what's shown here), but I'll ignore that insignificant little detail! And being the obsessive, biology-crazed person I am, I'm getting a plush toy version of a microscopic moss creature* that I found on the Internet! It surprised me... Both the toy and the actual animal. (And I know I'm getting it because I actually ordered it myself from the website. I'll use the money I'll probably get, as I've none currently... Anyway, yay!!!
*But of course not just any microscopic moss creature. It's amazing, strange, remarkable, awesome, fascinating, and cute, and it's called, of all things, a moss piglet! Or a tardigrade, or a water bear, but I love the term 'moss piglet!' Although water bear suits it the most... *shrugs* And I could go on forever about what it can do and everything, but the problem is that I would go on forever, and I'd likely bore you to death. I don't know how my parents would have survived this long were they not already used to me... *realizes that she's already typed an entire paragraph* Sorry. See? I get carried away.

I LOVE tardigrades!!! They are so amazing! I almost did a classification project on them two years ago, but they are the only ones in their phylum so it didn't exactly work. :) I ended up doing collembola (aka springtails) instead. You can look them up - they're pretty amazing too, but not quite a cool as tardigrades. I'm not the only one who knows about them! That's really exciting. :D My dad actually has a few tardigrade microscope slides that I've looked at in his microscope and they're so adorable. And a stuffed tardigrade... ;)

@Vida: Aww, thanks! It's not too hard. For the candles, I use straight lines (they are on your keyboard somewhere). ||| Then I use brackets [] and hyphens --- for the filling. Then you just have to get the positioning right, and you have a cake. They're fun to make!
