Chatterbox: Down to Earth

I'm in Illinois! My family and I got here Saturday night. On Sunday, nearly all our family on my mama's side came to my grandparents' house where we are staying. We had a cookout and played with all the cousins and got to see two of our new baby cousins who were so cute! The only downlet to the day was that I found out that a cousin on my papa's side was in the hospital--we went there and left her roses--and one of my other cousins who's addicted to his phone had brought along a bratty friend of his who claims he has ADHD and that that is the reason why he talked so much. But he was so bad! He said that I wasn't bright, grabbed a crochet stick from my sister's hand and wouldn't give it back until she said please, kicked a rootbeer bottle into the street and wouldn't pick it up, and called my papa a "jerk." How I wanted to slap that kid upside the head!!!*deep breath*

Anyway, it's my papa's birthday today and we might bake him a cake. We also might make butterbeer from a recipe in a newspaper my grandparents get. So far, excepting the part of the bratty kid, it's been a great trip and I feel completely content and don't want to go back to Georgia..

We made butterbeer last summer. I think it was cream soda with caramel sauce in it. It was delicious!
