Native American mythology often features a trickster god named Kokopelli who plays the flute. Muse magazine's comics feature a Muse of tunes and tricks who plays the flute and enjoys hitting people with pies. Since so many CBers get Muse (which is probably how the whole thing about pie was started, in addition to other things), most have heard of Kokopelli, so he may occasionally pop up in conversations like this. And that was probably much more than you needed to know, but...
