Chatterbox: Down to Earth

So i remebered

So i remebered there was a thread like this, and we had a lot of fun with it. All you write down is what you see out the window. Pick whatever window is closest to you and tell us what you see. :)

This is from my bedroom window.

I see the side of my neighbors white and blue house. In front of that is a wooden fence that is darkened as it was raining shortly before. There is also a shed quite close to the window. the roof of the shed slants towards me and i can see little purple flowers that have fallen off of the popular tree. Behind the shed there is a tall green bush. I can only see a small piece of the sky. It is rather cloudy out, and a jet airplane just flew overhead.

Two green pine trees' with leafless trees' in the backround.  And part of the bottom of the deck.  And a very small amount of sky.

For the record, this is the big window in my room.  Ahem.

Brushing against my window is a rosemary bush.  Next to that is a smoke tree/bush (it looks kinda like smoke - look it up and you'll see what I mean).  Further out, there are flowers and bushes and another rosemary bush and smoke tree.  In front of me, there's a hugh liquid amber tree that has no leaves.  It is the property of the city and is on that strip of dead grass (also owned by the city) that's on the other side of the sidewalk.  We're supposed to take care of it.  Ha.  It's leaves are the first to go in winter (southern California winter at least) and it's leaves are the first to turn in fall.  It's clearly dying.  Oh well.  I love it anyway.  There's a street beyond that (with a silver SUV driving down it) and a white house with blue siding beyond that.  There's a liquid amber tree next to that in much better shape.  It actually has leaves.  The driveway of that house is filled to the capacity with three cars and there's one car parked on the street.  There's another liquid amber tree next the driveway in front of a big graying fence.  Back to the foreground.  Next to the dying liquid amber tree, but not directly next to it (closer to me), there's a small jacaranda tree blowing in the breeze.  There's a crow flying across the blue (really blue) sky.  here comes another one.  Beyond the second liquid amber tree I mentioned is a sight you'd see in those pictures that say, "What's wrong with this picture?"  It's this electrical pole.  But not just any, a crooked one.  And when I say crooked, I mean crooked.  It's hilarious.  We've been at this house for over ten years and it hasn't fallen at all.  Crazy.  I can see the roof of the house next to the one across from us (on the right) poking out over the third rosemary bush we have in our front yard.  I don't think you'd be surprised if I told you that I like rosemary.

Sorry if you got lost.  I know it's hard to follow.  But you asked... :D

I am sitting in our combined living/dining room and looking out the window on the far left. I see:

Our backyard. It has a rusty wire fence all around it, and several still-bare trees inside. My sister's bike-thing, rake, and shovel all are lying around outside. You can see the porch with the many flowerpots, and the monkey grass. The rest is bare earth, pretty much. There are sticks everywhere. There is a white shed and our black composter. That's all.

Andy P. C. says uvax. I have no idea what "uvax" is, and I know for sure it's not outside the window.

On the other side of the road, our neighbor's house with wooden siding, their yard which is like one big 3-acre garden, and then the gravel road. On this side of the road is our yard, of which I can see three leafless trees (our Christmas tree, which is now mostly dead, is leaning against the tree nearest to me), a bunch of dead grass, our driveway, and some bird feeders.

*Of no consequence: I can also see our whiteboard (inside the house) on which is written "ex-nonantisupercalifragilisticexpialidociousnessly".

Hey lavendershy, I haven't seen you around recently.  Or have I just not been looking in the right places?  Anyway, your window has such a cheerful view.  It must fill a body with joy. ;)

I had a killer week in early March, then I was on spring break in California. I'm back, though. Sorry for not giving warning about my temporary absense.

Does the back door count?

my view:

My cottage, which is a light sage green with white trim, and a stainless steel roof. It has a cute little porch with red and white geraniums hanging from the gingerbread trim. There's a white wicker chair and lots of flowers sitting on the porch floor. In front of that is a lot of concrete, a little stainless steel planter with tiny pink flowers growing in it, terra-cotta pot with daffodils and baby blue eyes, and large raised fish pond with a water cypress and several other plants growing out of it. Hanging in the cypress is a little wind chime with a golden sun, a blue bead, and three sweet little bells, that I got at the beach last summer.

Then behind all that is my dad's shop (garage) which is a faded blue. It has long dark windows in the door, and the siding goes sideways.

Other than that, I see pretty much only part of our apple tree, a big shadow from our house, and a few more planters.

The sky is a gorgeous spotless blue, and I think it's about sixty degrees out side. Wow, I just checked, and it's sixty five!!! Nice.

Good thread!!!!

Thank you!
