Mom had the new baby! It's a boy! They named him Xavier Patrick!! He was born less than an hour ago, and was 10.1oz! Eeee eee ee! *excitement* I'm so happy.
Then my grandmother made us all kneel on the kitchen floor and pray. >_>
I can only go to the hospital to see him (we're calling him Xave, pronounced "zave") and mom if I fake being seventeen (which I probably could, being so tall and big-footed, right Jen? Regina? Gianna? Meg, Shane?), whch dad probably won't let me, but they're coming home on Saturday! And dad can take pictures! Can I get a whoot whoot! *hyperness*
Yeah, I'm on a sleep-deprived cookie high right now. XD How did you guess?
Congratulations to all of you, Mary! Thanks for letting us all be among the first to know. Now get some sleep.

Congrats, he sounds really cute! Xave. I positively /adore/ that name. xD. Really, it's an extremely cute name. :D *sigh* I wish I could have another chance to have a normal sibling. Kidding, kidding. :) Have fun with him! *gives hippo rattle and icy teething rings* *also gives squashy teddy bear and diapers*
So, anyway, congratulations again!
How was your luck with trying to pass as seventeen? ;) I mean, as long as you got caught with car keys, you're fine. Hopefully. Please don't tell me that you're typing your replies from the place where juvenile delinquents are housed after trying to pass as a legal driver.
Tell Xave that I said hi. And squeeze his feet for me; I'm in love with baby feet for some reason......

I was so weirded out when my mom had a boy in 2007, because I was DEAD SURE it was a girl. Seriously. There was no way on earth it could be a boy. So my dad calls, and we're all gathered around the phone and he goes, "It's a boy!!" And I'm sitting there in total shock, unable to say anything or move and I think "Another brother??? This is not possible. Not possible at all. " Just imagine if you found out that your little sister was a boy. Then when I get to the hospital, I'm looking at this baby and thinking, "That is my brother. My brother." It was just too weird to be happening. Now I'm used to it, obviously, and he is the MOST hilarious baby EVER. He totally cracks me up. Anyway, when my mother has a baby, it will so be a girl. SO.

@MJ: I know EXACTLY how you feel. I was like 3 when my little brother was born, and Mom was assuring me over and over that the baby would be a girl (because I already had two older half-brothers, so...) and then the morning after the baby was born, I woke up, and I was in bed, and Mom was lying on the floor on a mattress, and I was used to climbing in bed with her on a certain side, so I tried to get in on that side, and Mom sat up and said, "Mary, what are you doing? You almost squashed your baby brother!" And I was like, "BABY BROTHER?! I thought you said it was going to be a girl!"
Oh yeah, the reason the baby and Mom were home was because we had midwives deliver us. So yeah. *grins happily*
I was soo glad when my baby sister was born. It was crazy the way it happened. Mom started going into labor, so we called the midwife, and me and Natty and Dad all watched The Black Stallion, and then the midwife came and we went to bed. And then I woke up at about 3:00 in the morning, and since I knew from experience with my little brother what kind of sounds Mom made (i.e. shrieks), I burrowed under the covers with my fingers in my ears and stayed like that for a long time. And then she gave birth. And then I really needed to go to the bathroom, so I waited for a while to make sure she wasn't still having the baby, and then I went into the bathroom. And then I came out and-
Oh, my heart was pumping so fast, the entire time I was thinking, "What if it's a boy? What if it's a boy?" I mean, brothers are great and all, but I had been seriously deprived of a sister, so yeah. I walked into the bedroom, and went to see Mom, who was holding the baby, and I just watched for a while and finally I was like, "So, what is it?" And Mom said, "Looks like you've finally got a sister, Mary." And I just couldn't take it in, I was like, "A SISTER!!" inside, but on the outside it was just blank, numb shock. And then I almost cried.
Haha.
So that's how it happened.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that little story, and I hope it is a girl! How many brothers do you have, just wondering, because you said "ANOTHER brother?!" and I know the feeling.

Congratz! I love the name Xavier, and I like it a lot when it's pronounced "Zavier" instead of "Ex-zavier" :) New babies are so exciting (and cute)! Their fingernails are so tiny.... (random, but true!)

Omigoshomigoshomigoshomigosh!!!!!! *squeesqueesqueesqueesquee*! I am sooooo happy for you! This is superbly amazingly incredible! How cool! I was waiting for the news ever since you told me about it...this is the same Anna Katherine we talked about, no? Haha I am soooo excited for you! What's his middle name? Does he have any hair or is he all baldy? Is he super-chubby or just plump? You must hug him and fawn over him and tell him that his Aunt Koffee loves him :D *hugs (Mary Liz and Xave)* I am so happy for you all!!!

Oh my gosh!!!! *dances all around* *jumps up and down* That's so awesome!!! Cangrats, Mary. I love love love babies!!! I don't remember much about my little sis being born. I just remember being curled up in this weird circle chair thingy we had and waiting for a long time with my aunt and nana and papa. And, sadly, no luck with a new sibling . . . Same thing as Meadow and . . . yeah . . . soooo . . . *awkward silence* Eeeeeep!!! *jumps all around* That's such a cute name!! So cool, Mary!! Congrats! Say hi to Xave for me!! :D :D :D :D
