Wow, my hair

Wow, my hair

Wow, my hair feels... strange. I just got it cut today, and, well, let's just say I got many inches cut off. (probably over a foot) I got it cut for Locks of Love (again). It used to fall more than halfway down my back, but now it dosen't even go past my shoulders. So, anyone else ever gotten their hair cut for Locks of Love before?

P.S. This is my third time.

Haha, I know how you feel!  I've done that twice!  The first time I did it, my head felt so light that I was actually dizzy!!  My hair is really thick... before, I think it had gone just about to my legs, and I had it cut to chin length.  :D  Good for you for doing it three times!  I would have done more, only, I've kept my hair short these past few years, because it frames my face much better.  :)

My friend had reddish-blond wavy hair long enough to comfortably sit on three weeks ago. Now, it is about an inch shorter than chin-length, and black. Wow, that was a change...

Ha, that must have been weird!  My neighbor, who is blond, came over one day with black hair!!!  It was so strange!  Turns out it was a wig, but man, she freaked me out when she first walked in!!  I didn't recognize her!!!!!!

I've never gotten my hair cut for Locks of Love ever.  My hair refuses to grow even four inches past my shoulders.  And it has terrible split ends.  But my mom got her hair cut for Locks of Love once in my memory.  It was when she was pregnant with Luna, about five years ago.  Now her hair goes about to her waist.  I remember being at my friends house when Mom left to get her hair cut, and her someing back with three inch hair.  It was sort of odd, but I got used to it.

I got 14 inches of my hair whacked off after my dance recital in June.  I sent it to Locks of Love.  It does feel weird.  Just ask Elizabeth W.  She had hair that went to her waist and then got a Pixie Cut.

Hey, that's alright!!!  We love you anyway!

My mom used to cut my hair, but I decided I wanted it different.  So I started going to the place my mom goes.  I love it!  Especially when I get a shampoo... it feels so good.  Ha, I should post a drawing I did a long time ago, a cross section of a Hair Salon.  OMG, it's so funny.  There is, I'm sad to say, even a dog who had a little accident.

Ina, I haven't gotten my hair cut from anyone except my mom and grandma.  My grandma tells me not to let my mom cut my hair.  And she tells me not to let my mom take me to a hair cut place thingie to get the split ends off and maybe even layer it.  She says that they start sniping and then all of a sudden (ms?) it's gone.  That's sounds pretty funny if you say it out loud.  :D  And my mom tells me not to let my grandma cut cirtain split ends off.   *head=keyboard*

I just got my hair cut today as a matter of fact, and then I found this dandy lil' thread. (I can't believe I just used the word ((does it count as a word?)) "lil'".) My hair was technically short to begin with, although I consider nearly shoulder length long, and that was the length of my hair 4 hours ago. I can't stand how long hair feels. I always swear to myself that I will shave my head completely, but then I just get it cut to chin length and it grows out again and the cycle repeats. This time the same thing happened, only I got it cut a tiny bit above chin length and got sweeping bangs(Is that a thing? Also, do you say "bang" or "bangs"? "Bang" makes me think of BANG!, but "bangs" makes me think of hair, so I'll go with bangs.) Short hair is such a relief! Long hair makes me feel like I'm suffocating. It's not like it grows around my mouth and nose or anything, it just feels too gross. But now I have a headache that has lasted four hours because of the hair dressers excessive use of way too flowery hair spray.

Yikes. The other day, I was running erands with my mom and sister, and there was this one (probably 9th or 10th grade) boy we passed a couple of times. Every time, he would look at me really weirdly (think staring, but at the same time knowing that's impolite). My mom thought it was funny, and my sister said, "Well, you could pass for like 16 if you wanted to..." Which scared me almost more than that boy did.

I just got my hair cut (not for Locks of Love, I don't ever grow my hair out that long) too! I have kind of these bangie thingies now, and layers. I really like it, especially compared to my old hair which was just a blob of brown nothing. ;)

@Jen- My (13 year old) friend has waist long hair, and she always wonders why people think that she's younger then she actually is. I definatley think that if she wants people to think she's older, she should get her hair cut, but she's convinced that it will be super frizzy and more work (?) if she cuts it. Was your hair any "frizzier" or harder to deal with now that it's short?
