band of the week!

hey all, overmorrow here! i haven't been here in a while but i had this idea so hello again :)

i love music, and i love sharing music with other people, so once a week i'm going to pick a band/artist (usually a lesser known one) and tell you a little about them, some of their songs, etc! i think it'll be a fun way to share music, and you guys can also recommend bands/artists! i'll post the first one as soon as the thread goes up :]

and the first band of the week is... Ukalyptus!

Ukalyptus is an indie rock band. They're not super well-known, but I picked them for a special reason- not only do I really like their music, but my older brother used to play in the same rec basketball league as the lead singer and they were pretty good friends! I also saw them live at a battle of the bands a few years ago (that was how I learned they were a band) and have been listening to their music ever since. My favorite songs by them are PS2, Stickbug, and Canada. happy listening!

First off, overmorrow!! Hi! Nice to see you around again - how's life been? And I love the idea of the thread (especially since I should really rejoin the music club but just do not have the time to commit haha *looks innocent* so it's great to have something more low-stakes)

Anyway, I listened to Canada, and it's nice! Not my favorite style of music, but the band's definitely good. And it's amazing about the singer knowing your brother :D

I listened to "Canada"! It took me so many tries to find it lol :) Usually songs come up right away if I just search for the title and the artist, but this time it kept giving me videos about eucalyptus trees... Search engines are weird sometimes. Anyway, really nice song! Kind of reminded me of the Indigo Girls' music.

Also yes like Peri mentioned there's the Music Club in PP, but I think you should keep doing this anyway! with the music club you only get to share an album every once in a while (though it's still super cool and fun and you should definitely join if you're interested) and i'm eager to see what other music you're planning to share!

oh, one more thing, it's so nice to read you around again :)) I missed you <3
