CSC ANNOUNCEMENT! I
CSC ANNOUNCEMENT! I don't know if anyone remembers the CSC story/world (basically a mysterious desert setting with lots of ancient lore) I was building with Hex and Flamarestii (along with the help of a few more people), but I'm officially rebooting and going to launch an RP!
I know this kinda sounds crazy because I hardly ever continue with things like this (and maybe it is), but I've gotten some outside help from some of my irl Dnd friends and am going to expand the world and actually establish a story. It'll likely be slow-moving because I'm a college student now along with all my other responsibilities, but if anyone is interested in joining I'll have more information posted soon. I'm going to rely on you who do join to stay curious, patient and most of all creative! Hope to see y'all soon!

Thanks, and yeah, I'm a freshman. I like it pretty well! It's definitely better than junior high, and probably high-school too. I like all of my professors and classes alright and I joined a bunch of clubs so everything is going pretty smoothly. My mission this semester is to stay a week ahead on all assignments (which is where the syllabi come in handy), and so far I've been doing pretty well!

Ok, so I wanna have you lovelies to able to participate in help making this world our own, so I think I'm gonna start another thread for comments and suggestions, or at least start posting some of the stuff here rn. I have a rough draft of a map of part of the world I was thinking of using, so I'll share once i figure out how to import it. Please contribute, even if you think it's silly or far-out-there or too obvious. I love to see comments and ideas spread around!

ohmigosh that's so amazing how did you even draw that?? did you use a digital platform or something? i want to draw maps like that lol
anyway, super sorry for not commenting sooner!! i've just been so exhausted lately with school stuff, I'm still adjusting (gasp) and yesterday I was feeling sick on top of everything else... anyway all of this is to say that I've been keeping up with your CSC announcements, but I haven't managed to reply, super sorry :(
the good thing is that i finally have a minute :) do any of the places have names yet? and like what's the general lifestyle (nomadic, farming, seafaring?)

I use an onlne site to make these maps (although i draw my fair share of drafts on paper with pencil/pen)! It's free, but you can get bonus stuff by paying a subscription. I'd love to see what you could do!
And yeah, I get just needing to adjust and keep up with school. For the most part I've been in the same boat. I also got sick, although I think it's just a regular cold (worried to go to a doctor 'cause my partner had covid last week, though, and we'd been spending a lot of time together before they got it). No need to be sorry, Poinsettia! I'm just happy you're responding now!
I've been focusing on the central desert, so I haven't come up with names yet, but I have that whole language and mythology from the original I'm looking into working into this version. The people of the desert are split into 3 main groups; 1 is farming/herding, and they tend to be settled near the river (they're transhumant, with small villages and cities popping up based off their work) and there are people who are nomadic and mainly cross the desert. Then there are those who live beneath the desert itself! I'm still working out details, but that's the basic gist to answer your questions.

Three desert groups, okay... Nice :) Do you have any ideas for the general direction of the RP?
