@CelineBurningBright have you listened to the acoustic session of "Te regalo"?! It's a little different from the original version, and not quiteee as good, but it's really fun to hear a new version of it! I'm listening to it right now :) And since you liked the song so much I wanted to recommend it to you :)
Oh and I broke my tradition of not watching music videos and watched the video for "Quien te quiere como yo" and it's gorgeous!!! It really tells a story and it matches the music so well and it turns out it's set in Mexico and I love watching it and idk if you're interested but I thought you might like to see it!
Last thing: ages ago you said on the CBers as songs thread that I reminded you of "Rises the moon" by Liana Flores so I listened to it and it's really pretty! I like how relaxing it is... Thank you :) It's so fun to discover new music.

Lol forgot to add that the video for "Amarte bien" is really nice too... Frankly speaking, Carlos is a bit conceited and evidently thinks the world of himself, without really having any reason to in my opinion, but his songs are super good and the video is super pretty so I guess it's okay :) Oh, and I also listened to "I guess this was goodbye" by Lyn Lapid because you had recommended it once! I don't think it was quite my preferred music style, tbh, it was a little too pop-sounding? But thank you for recommending her anyway, and I'll definitely pass on the recommendation if anyone asks me if I know of any good pop singers!

1 day 1 hour later I am back! :/
I honestly didn't like the acoustic version as much as the original version, but it is interesting hearing how it's different! Thank you for recommending!! :D (like genuinely thank you that wasn't a polite thank you, just clarifying bc sometimes those get mixed up :) just a reference that like 90% of the time, if I say "thank you", it's gonna be genuine. Honestly polite thank-you's are just like what's the point for me, but no offense if you use those, because it's good to be polite, and sometimes there's no other choice. And you see how I'm a tangent master. Back to the point! :) )
I watched the video for Quien te quiere como yo (and I did the opposite of what you did XD usually I always watch the videos bc that's literally the only way I listen to music -- looking them up online and watching the videos, but this time I didn't because... honestly, yeah, I kinda felt like what you were saying about Carlos Baute :/ and a weird quirk about me is I don't love looking at the faces of strangers close-up... and it felt like there was gonna be a lot of close-up... and when I feel like that I just watch no-face lyric videos just to be safe... Ik I'm weird :) ) and I don't regret it because it really is nice and the scenery is beautiful!! Thank you!
Ok honestly I did not watch the video for Amarte Bien because even though I said I didn't regret watching the other video, I fast-forwarded through all the scenes in this one and was like... "no thanks that's a lot of umm close-up faces... ://". But, again, thank you for recommending, it means a lot that you did!!
And thank you for listening to i guess that was goodbye wow!!!! :DD I can see your point, though :) honestly, I love it because it reminds me (like, the vibes, the lyrics, the video, everything) of a book I read, On a Sunbeam, that's sort of a comfort read for me, so when I listen to it I get sucked into that whole comfy world, and besides, I think the lyrics are so pretty and nostalgic and sad, but yeah I see where you're coming from and tysm for giving it a shot!!!
Also, I had more to say, but ACK gtg my BFF's coming over and we're gonna go help do a project at my old school so byee!!! :D

Hi at last! Sorry it took me a few days to respond :/
Yeah, I agree that the acoustic version isn't as good, but I'm glad you found it interesting! Lol, usually I'm the opposite - I never watch music videos because I never know if they'll be inappropriate, and also they don't usually match my own conception of the song - but I just sort of felt like this one might be interesting, and when I saw how pretty it was, with the scenery and everything, I instantly loved it.
Oh yes, that's fine that you didn't watch the "Amarte bien" video! I just thought I'd mention it in case you wanted to :)
Ah, that makes sense and I can see why you would like the song. Maybe I'll give it another try sometime when I feel like listening to that style.
Ooh, that sounds so fun, hope you had a great time together~
Oh, and you read The Importance of Being Earnest? I found it really funny when I read it... There are also these other two Oscar Wilde plays, An Ideal Husband and Lady Windermere's Fan, which I really enjoyed; I think maybe they were even better than The Importance of Being Earnest. I can't remember anymore what they were about, but they were very funny and had really intriguing plots - I wanted to reread them, but when I went to the library to check out a book of Wilde plays, I couldn't find the book (even though I KNOW the library has it) so I guess it'll have to wait for another time.
Anyway... I'm glad you liked my recommendations, and thanks again for giving my recommendations a try! :))

Okay I literally thought you responded only yesterday but the last reply tells me it's been 3 dAyS 7 hOuRs what o_O
anyways, here I am!
A while ago you asked if I had a favorite dance style, and I think that it'd be ballet or music theater bc those are my main dances... maybe musical theater though? :D
Ooh, thanks, I'll keep those Oscar Wilde recommendations in mind! I was actually thinking of reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by him first though, because it's famous, and also because my dad has apparently owned a copy this whole time! I was reading the preview and love this quote from there that I posted on book quotes: " 'Oh, I can't explain. When I like people immensely I never tell their names to anyone. It is like surrendering a part of them. I have grown to love secrecy. It seems to be the one thing that can make modern life mysterious or marvellous to us. The commonest thing is delightful if only one hides it. When I leave town now I never tell my people where I am going. If I did, I would lose all my pleasure. It is a silly habit, I daresay, but somehow it seems to bring a great deal of romance into one's life. I suppose you think me awfully foolish about it?' " so I think it'll be a good read just from that haha :)
and no problem!! You give some of the best recommendations, so it'd be horrible if I didn't give them a try!
And almost forgot!! My summer school was actually offering a class on the Importance of Being Earnest, where we analyzed it and acted it out!! But then they canceled it because of low registration... ://
and on that disappointing note, I take my leave~
