Positivity thread :D
I'm sure that this already exists somewhere, but there's no harm in a little more positivity! This is a place to post all the good things that have happened, to the world in general or to you in particular. A goal you're proud of finally accomplishing, something nice that someone has done for you, anything. Here, you should never feel like you're bragging, showing off, or talking too much about a topic-- all posts are welcome, as long as you aren't being excessively rude. Most importantly, remember to support and celebrate your fellow CBers!

I'm planning to finally try submitting my writing to magazines as soon as the summer starts and I'm done with school! I have no idea if I'll get anything published, but even just trying will be fun, I think. I'm very excited about it :)
I wrote two analyses of e e cummings poetry and they turned out pretty well! Sometimes my poetry analysis is terrible, but this time I was inspired.
There's an adorable chipmunk in the backyard.... And a baby bunny! He's tinyyyy, like a little chocolate drop. And he already eats grass all by himself and he looks like he's being all dutiful and independent by doing stuff on his own but in reality he's so little and cute.

Whoa good luck with submitting to magazines!! Sounds really exciting :)
Um...let's see...positivity...I tend to be sort of pessimistic (used to be optimistic, but that was before Covid) but since I just finished my last official schoolwork assignment and it was actually pretty fun because I got to play around with the graphic design and change the opacity of images to make them into faded-looking backgrounds and whatnot.
Also, today I bought black beads and quartz gemstones, to make into an ice jelly drink pen holder! The beads are supposed to look like boba, and the quartz gemstones are supposed to look like ice jelly. I'm going to put them in a cup, maybe with clear slime to make it look more drinkable, and then stick a pen where there is usually a straw.
And also, summer. I'm exciting for allllll the time I can use to write and draw and knit and color and read books on genetics (hopefully) and volunteer and study for SAT tests two years ahead of time (well, I'm not exactly excited for that, but it's important)

I'm performing with my chorus at our school's graduation tomorrow! We're required to sing the school song, the national anthem, and Auld Lang Syne, and our teacher also chose for us a Greatest Showman medley and Go the Distance from Hercules. I'm really excited because my sister is graduating, and I found a black dress to wear that makes me feel super confident and pretty!

Update: Some of the songs were a bit rough, but no one fainted or had a flag fall on top of them like we were warned :D (I could see why they would faint, though-- we had to stand all the way from the beginning of the ceremony until they actually started giving out diplomas, which was a good 30-45 minutes :'0)

I wrote a poem today at my summer camp that I'm really proud of.

The other day I was out walking, and I passed this slim young sapling that was a bit taller than I was, and there was a beautiful warm breeze blowing - so when I put my hand on the trunk, I could feel it swaying and pushing and bouncing in the wind. It felt as if there was a spirit inside it - I can see where the concept of dryads came from! It was a little like in a Narnia book.
And then I passed a track/sports outdoor area where some boys were hanging around practicing their various sports, and music was playing from a speaker. It was slightly pop-like, and somehow at full volume on a sunny windy warm day, it felt perfect. As I walked past, I felt like a character in a movie, and it somehow made me really happy :)
